  • • Step into the cockpit of Allegiant’s Information Risk & Compliance program and spend a fast-moving, high-impact summer where aviation meets cutting-edge technology. As our Intern, you will sit shoulder-to-shoulder with Privacy, Risk, and Compliance leaders who safeguard 136 destinations, 19 million annual passengers, and a rapidly growing hospitality portfolio. Every task you touch—whether it’s a vendor risk questionnaire or a deployment checklist—will directly influence how millions of travelers experience safe, secure, and seamless journeys.
  • • Own your own vendor-management assessment from kickoff to closeout. You will map third-party data flows for hotel partners, payment gateways, and inflight-entertainment providers; score inherent and residual risk; and present findings to senior leadership. Your recommendations will feed into enterprise-wide risk registers and may trigger contract amendments or new controls.
  • • Conduct compliance audits that span both airline operations (14 CFR Part 121, TSA SDs, DOT consumer rules) and hospitality (PCI-DSS, state privacy statutes, brand standards). You will draft test scripts, pull evidence from ServiceNow and Archer, interview process owners, and author final reports that are read by the VP of Internal Audit and the Chief Risk Officer.
  • • Drive at least one major deployment upgrade for our compliance program—past interns have rolled out new GRC dashboards, automated privacy-rights workflows, and integrated vendor-risk APIs. You will gather requirements, configure the tool, run UAT, and create quick-reference guides so that 300+ users adopt the change on day one.
  • • Shadow Privacy counsel during incident-response tabletops and red-team exercises. You will learn how to triage a potential data breach in under an hour, draft regulator notifications, and coordinate with Communications, Legal, and Customer Care to protect brand trust.
  • • Translate complex regulatory language into plain-English job aids. Whether it’s a one-pager on CCPA opt-outs or a checklist for SOC 2 evidence collection, your collateral will be used by frontline teams across airports, call centers, and corporate HQ.
  • • Present a capstone project to the Executive Leadership Team during the final week of the program. Previous interns have earned return offers, letters of recommendation for grad school, and even patent disclosures for innovative risk-scoring algorithms.
  • • Model Allegiant’s customer-service DNA in every interaction. You’ll answer teammate questions in Slack, host lunch-and-learns, and champion a culture where compliance is seen as an enabler—not a roadblock—of world-class guest experiences.
  • • Work in our modern Summerlin headquarters with panoramic views of the Red Rock Canyon. You’ll have a dedicated mentor, weekly 1:1s with the CISO, and access to LinkedIn Learning, IAPP training, and discounted travel benefits so you can explore the very destinations you help protect.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Currently enrolled or graduated within the last six months from an accredited bachelor’s or master’s program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Compliance, or a related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future and must successfully pass a criminal background check
  • • Demonstrated analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems, interpret regulations, and propose data-driven solutions
  • • Basic understanding of technology concepts (networks, databases, cloud services) and a working knowledge of at least one GRC, ticketing, or audit-management platform such as Archer, ServiceNow, or Excel-based risk registers
  • • Self-starter who can manage multiple deadlines, communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, and maintain meticulous attention to detail
