- • Serve as a Provider Data Reporting Intern within BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee’s Provider Network Team, gaining hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting processes.
- • Assist in building and maintaining data reports and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
- • Support manual data tasks and contribute to the development of data integrations to improve provider data accuracy and accessibility.
- • Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks and projects within designated timelines, ensuring high standards of data integrity and quality.
- • Utilize SQL query design to extract, analyze, and validate provider data from internal databases.
- • Create and maintain visual reports using Power BI and SSRS to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.
- • Participate in the automation of repetitive reporting tasks using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- • Work remotely with a structured schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, starting at 8:30 a.m. EST.
- • Engage in professional development through direct mentorship and exposure to real-world healthcare data systems and compliance requirements.
- • Document data workflows, report structures, and process improvements to support team knowledge sharing and continuity.
- • Maintain strict attention to detail when handling sensitive provider data and ensure all outputs meet organizational standards.
- • Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats to report progress, ask questions, and provide updates to supervisors and team members.
- • Manage multiple priorities independently while adhering to deadlines and organizational protocols.
- • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and an analytical mindset to identify data inconsistencies and propose solutions.
- • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite proficiently, including Excel for data manipulation, Word for documentation, PowerPoint for presentations, and Outlook for communication.
- • Contribute to a collaborative team environment with curiosity, willingness to learn, and a commitment to professional growth.
- • Participate in the BlueBridge Internship Program, which emphasizes professional collaboration and real-world skill development in communications and data reporting.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active college student who has completed a minimum of two years of college at an accredited institution, or recent graduate, or student in a Master’s or Doctoral program
- • Minimum GPA of 2.75
- • Experience with SQL query design, SSRS, Power BI, and SSIS
- • Must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zone
- • Must provide official transcripts
- • No sponsorship available; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
