Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead and execute end-to-end internal audits for a diverse portfolio of healthcare clients—ranging from multi-hospital health systems to specialty physician practices—ensuring that every engagement delivers clear, actionable insights to C-Suite executives and Board-level stakeholders.
- • Own the full audit lifecycle: from scoping and risk assessment through fieldwork, evidence gathering, issue validation, and the presentation of final reports that directly influence strategic decisions on revenue cycle, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- • Design and continuously refine risk-based audit programs that reflect the latest regulatory changes (HIPAA, CMS, HITECH, state unclaimed-property statutes) and align with Kodiak’s cloud-based analytics platform, leveraging automated data extraction and exception reporting to accelerate issue identification.
- • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned client accounts, translating complex audit findings into concise executive briefings, facilitating governance committee meetings, and tracking remediation efforts to measurable closure.
- • Partner with cross-functional teams—clinical operations, revenue integrity, health information management, and finance—to embed audit recommendations into sustainable process improvements that reduce denials, optimize cash acceleration, and strengthen internal controls.
- • Mentor and coach junior auditors and client staff on best-practice audit methodologies, data analytics techniques, and healthcare-specific control frameworks, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across engagements.
- • Drive innovation by piloting new audit analytics scripts, robotic process automation (RPA) bots, and AI-driven risk-scoring models within Kodiak’s platform, then scaling successful pilots across the broader client base.
- • Monitor emerging industry risks—cybersecurity threats to PHI, surprise-billing regulations, 340B program integrity, and pandemic-related funding compliance—proactively updating audit scopes and advisory services to keep clients ahead of the curve.
- • Prepare and present quarterly dashboards to senior leadership that quantify audit impact in terms of cost recoveries, denial reductions, compliance gaps closed, and ROI achieved, reinforcing Kodiak’s value proposition.
- • Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership by authoring white papers, presenting at HFMA or AAHAM conferences, and participating in internal knowledge councils that shape future product enhancements and service offerings.
- • Ensure every audit file meets Kodiak’s quality standards and external peer-review requirements, maintaining meticulous documentation that withstands regulatory scrutiny and supports external auditor reliance.
- • Champion a remote-first culture by leveraging secure collaboration tools, asynchronous workflows, and outcome-based performance metrics, while still fostering genuine team connection through virtual coffee chats and quarterly in-person summits.
- • Balance multiple concurrent engagements without compromising quality or deadlines, utilizing agile project-management techniques and real-time resource dashboards to optimize workload distribution and client satisfaction.
