đź“‹ Description

  • • Serve as a critical engine for transaction execution and deal flow management across M&A, private equity, and private credit opportunities at Gratia, Inc.
  • • Manage end-to-end diligence processes including coordination with external legal, tax, and accounting advisors and oversight of Virtual Data Rooms (VDR) to ensure timely and accurate deal progression.
  • • Review Quality of Earnings (QofE) reports and commercial due diligence materials to identify material deal-breakers, valuation adjustments, and operational risks.
  • • Build driver-based 3-statement financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) from scratch for multi-year projections, ensuring production-ready precision with minimal oversight.
  • • Design and execute scenario analyses and sensitivity tests to quantify downside risk and upside potential across investment opportunities.
  • • Perform rigorous valuation analyses using DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction methodologies to support investment decisions.
  • • Transform raw, unstructured operational data from target companies into structured, logical financial and operational insights that inform market entry or fundraising strategies.
  • • Collaborate with high-performing specialists and clients including Apollo, Endeavor, New York Life, Gannett, and Portrait Analytics on mission-critical, real-world engagements.
  • • Maintain clear documentation of all modeling assumptions, logic flows, and key inputs to enable transparent communication with non-technical stakeholders.
  • • Operate as an independent professional with autonomy to choose projects aligned with expertise and availability, while benefiting from a curated apprenticeship pathway to advance from execution to leadership.
  • • Contribute to a remote-first, globally distributed network of experienced professionals who deliver high-impact results without theoretical exercises.
  • • Work within a flexible, freelance or part-time/full-time engagement model that rewards expertise with tailored compensation and direct access to top-tier global clients.
  • • Engage in a high-trust environment focused on rigorous execution, where an 88.2 Net Promoter Score reflects consistent delivery of tangible outcomes.
  • • Develop portfolio breadth by working across industries on complex, hands-on transactions that emphasize real operational impact over advisory speculation.
  • • Participate in a community of top-tier specialists who collaborate across disciplines to solve tangible business challenges for leading organizations.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3–5 years of professional experience in financial modeling and transaction execution, typically within investment banking, private equity, private credit, or corporate development
  • • Expert-level proficiency in Excel including 3-statement integration, DCF modeling, data tables, and advanced simulations with ability to produce production-ready models requiring minimal oversight
  • • Foundational understanding of transaction legal documentation, closing mechanics, and nuances of equity vs. debt asset classes
  • • Ability to interpret qualitative business narratives and identify operational risks beyond financial metrics
  • • Exceptional ability to clearly document assumptions and explain complex model logic to non-technical stakeholders
  • • Capacity to independently manage multiple deal streams, timelines, and external advisor coordination in a remote, freelance environment

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Flexible, remote-first engagement with part-time or full-time options
  • • Tailored compensation based on individual expertise and performance
  • • Direct access to high-profile clients including Apollo, Endeavor, New York Life, Gannett, and Portrait Analytics
  • • Structured apprenticeship pathway to transition from execution to leadership through real-world deal experience
