đź“‹ Description

  • • As Kraken prepares for its next significant phase of capital markets engagement, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Investor Relations Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a pivotal role focused on building and operationalizing a world-class Investor Relations (IR) program that will be instrumental in shaping our narrative and engagement with the financial community.
  • • This is a hands-on, execution-oriented position for an individual who thrives on delivering excellence across all core IR disciplines. You will be responsible for crafting compelling messaging, developing essential investor materials, meticulously managing investor workflows, and driving proactive engagement with institutional investors and financial analysts.
  • • Reporting directly to the VP of Investor Relations, you will work in close collaboration with key stakeholders across Finance, Legal, and Communications. Your primary objective will be to translate Kraken’s ambitious strategy, robust financial performance, and unique market position into a clear, credible, and compelling story that resonates with the investment community.
  • • This role is defined by its “proof of work” nature, emphasizing tangible results and impactful contributions rather than the management of a large team. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves and deliver high-quality outcomes across all facets of investor relations.
  • • You will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of Kraken’s overarching investor relations strategy, ensuring it is tightly aligned with our ambitious growth objectives and our readiness for public market engagement.
  • • Serve as a primary point of contact for the investment community, including institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and investment banks, acting as a trusted liaison in partnership with senior leadership.
  • • Collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the broader finance team to meticulously craft and deliver impactful financial messaging, prepare comprehensive earnings materials, develop persuasive investor presentations, and create engaging analyst day content.
  • • Take the lead in preparing all core investor communications, including quarterly earnings materials, annual reports, critical press releases, and essential disclosure documents, working in seamless coordination with the finance and legal departments.
  • • Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, peer performance, analyst models, investor sentiment, and the composition of our shareholder base. Synthesize these complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • • Develop, implement, and maintain robust investor databases, sophisticated targeting frameworks, efficient engagement tracking systems, and insightful analytics dashboards to inform our IR strategy.
  • • Actively support and help lead proactive investor outreach initiatives, including strategic participation in industry conferences, targeted roadshows, non-deal roadshows, and crucial one-on-one investor meetings.
  • • Ensure the utmost consistency and accuracy of all public disclosures, strictly adhering to SEC and stock-exchange requirements, and working in close partnership with our legal and compliance teams.
  • • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with the communications, legal, and finance teams to ensure a unified, credible, and cohesive external messaging strategy across all platforms.
  • • Provide structured, regular reporting to senior leadership on key investor engagement metrics, market perception, and overall performance tracking, enabling informed decision-making.
  • • Contribute to building and maintaining Kraken’s reputation as a leader in the crypto space, effectively communicating our vision, innovation, and commitment to financial freedom and inclusion.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping the investor narrative for a leading cryptocurrency platform, contributing directly to our mission of accelerating global crypto adoption and empowering individuals with financial freedom.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of experience in investor relations, equity research, corporate finance, or capital markets, ideally supporting a publicly traded company or a high-growth organization preparing for public market readiness.
  • • Strong understanding of equity capital markets, shareholder dynamics, analyst coverage, key valuation drivers, and the mechanics of public markets.
  • • Solid financial acumen, including fluency in reading and interpreting financial statements, understanding key performance indicators (KPIs), and a grasp of modeling fundamentals. Ability to communicate complex financial metrics clearly and concisely is essential.
  • • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of preparing investor-facing decks, earnings scripts, Q&A materials, and other external communications.
  • • Demonstrated experience supporting investor communication plans and executing critical deliverables during periods of significant growth, organizational transformation, or transition towards public market listing.
  • • Proven ability to build strong relationships with analysts, investors, and other capital markets participants, or the capacity to quickly establish credibility and rapport with these stakeholders.
  • • Possess a professional presence and confidence necessary to support high-visibility forums such as earnings calls, investor conferences, and board reporting sessions.
  • • Working knowledge of regulatory disclosure requirements, SEC and stock-exchange standards, and established IR best practices.
  • • Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to effectively manage and align efforts across finance, legal, communications, and external advisors.
  • • Prior experience supporting an IPO process or transitioning a private company to the public markets is a significant advantage.
  • • A genuine interest in and/or prior experience within the cryptocurrency industry is highly desirable.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary and equity package.
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • • Generous paid time off and holidays.
  • • Remote-first work environment with flexibility.
  • • Opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • • Contribute to the future of finance and the decentralized web.
