📋 Description

• As an iOS Software Engineer on the Contributions team at Reddit, you will play a critical role in shaping how users post and comment—two of the most fundamental actions on the platform—ensuring these experiences are simple, expressive, intelligent, and modern for over 126 million daily active users.
• Day to day, you will collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to design, develop, test, and launch new features; participate in code and design reviews; contribute to technical strategy and architecture; mentor fellow engineers; and continuously improve both technical and non-technical skills in a fast-moving, innovative environment.
• You will join a thoughtful, motivated team of engineers dedicated to improving developer workflows, establishing best practices, and driving high-impact product execution for one of the world’s largest and most influential online communities.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in iOS development at scale, gain experience with modern APIs (GraphQL/REST), influence product direction, and grow as a technical leader while working on features used by millions every day.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of post-internship, full-time, hands-on professional software development experience building user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale using Swift.
• Strong familiarity with software engineering best practices including unit/integration/end-to-end testing, design documents, CI/CD, A/B testing, code reviews, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, keep projects on schedule, and effectively engage both technical and non-technical audiences in a fully remote environment.
• BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical, professional, hands-on experience.
• Expertise in Swift, with additional experience in one or more general-purpose languages such as Java, Python, Go, Rust, or C++.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and the ability to design maintainable APIs is a plus.
