As an IT Generalist, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the robust technological infrastructure that underpins our groundbreaking privacy solutions, ensuring seamless operations and supporting our growing team.
• In this pivotal role, you will be the go-to person for all things IT, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities from hardware and software management to network administration and user support. You will be responsible for the procurement, setup, and maintenance of all IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, printers, and other peripherals, ensuring our team has the tools they need to succeed. This includes managing software licenses, deploying new applications, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to productivity.
• You will play a key role in managing our cloud-based infrastructure, potentially including services like Google Workspace, Slack, and other SaaS applications critical to our daily operations. This involves user account management, access control, and ensuring the security and integrity of our digital assets. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing these platforms for efficiency and scalability as Cloaked continues its rapid growth.
• Network administration will be a significant part of your responsibilities. You will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of our office network, including Wi-Fi, wired connections, and VPN access. Ensuring a secure, reliable, and high-performing network environment is paramount to our operations, and your proactive approach to network health and security will be highly valued.
• As the primary point of contact for IT support, you will provide timely and effective assistance to all employees, addressing their technical challenges with patience and expertise. This includes diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems, guiding users through complex technical procedures, and educating them on best practices for IT security and usage. Your ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience will be essential.
• You will also be involved in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance, security, and operational efficiency. This may include creating documentation for IT systems, developing onboarding processes for new hires, and staying abreast of emerging technologies and security threats to proactively safeguard our company's digital environment.
• Furthermore, you will contribute to IT asset management, maintaining an accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets, and managing their lifecycle from procurement to disposal. This ensures accountability and helps in strategic IT planning and budgeting.
• Security will be a core focus. You will implement and maintain security measures to protect our company's data and systems from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches. This includes managing endpoint security, antivirus software, and potentially assisting with security awareness training for employees.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Generalist, IT Support Specialist, or similar role, with a broad understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting hardware (desktops, laptops, peripherals) and software (operating systems, productivity suites, common business applications).
• Experience with network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud-based productivity suites (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) and SaaS application management.
• Strong understanding of IT security principles, including endpoint security, antivirus, and basic cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and provide excellent customer service.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
