📋 Description

• Senior AI Engineer at Vendelux Inc. is a pivotal role focused on advancing the company’s AI-powered platform that transforms how businesses discover, evaluate, and maximize the impact of events. This role directly contributes to turning event data into strategic growth opportunities for high-growth companies.
• Day to day, the Senior AI Engineer will research and apply modern AI methods such as LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and AI agents to build new product capabilities; design and implement agentic chat across the Vendelux platform; architect scalable and reliable multi-tenant AI infrastructure; collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate business needs into AI solutions; and establish observability, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails for production-grade AI features.
• Vendelux is a Series A SaaS company founded in 2021, backed by FirstMark and other leading investors, with a recent $14M funding round. The company is transforming event marketing by providing a system of record for event data, powered by AI and strengthened through partnerships with event organizers who share first-party attendee and sponsorship data.
• In this role, the engineer will have the opportunity to shape the foundational AI layer of a growing B2B product, influence the AI roadmap alongside leadership, gain deep experience in production LLM applications and agentic systems, and drive measurable impact by turning event insights into scalable pipeline generation through innovations like Vendelux Meetings.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering or data engineering, with at least 3+ years building AI/ML-driven products
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQL
• Experience with modern AI frameworks (e.g., HuggingFace, LangChain) and designing data pipelines (Airflow, Dagster, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience applying LLMs and generative AI in production, including prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM deployment
• Strong grasp of fundamental data science and machine learning techniques, with ability to balance research and engineering tradeoffs
• Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into data solutions that drive business value
• Proven track record of shipping user-facing features with measurable impact
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across data, engineering, and product teams
• Startup experience preferred
