đź“‹ Description

  • • At Sunrise Robotics, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing manufacturing through intelligent robotics, aiming to augment human capabilities and enhance existing machinery. Our mission is to elevate production quality, minimize waste, and reduce costs by introducing flexible, intelligent robots. We envision a future where every facet of manufacturing, from design to assembly, is optimized by intelligent automation. Our core strategy involves integrating adaptable robotic solutions, powered by generic hardware and sophisticated software/AI, into manufacturing processes, with a particular focus on making automation economically viable and accessible for small and medium-sized enterprises.
  • • As an IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer at Sunrise Robotics, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliable deployment, seamless updates, and robust support of our robotic systems at scale. As our deployments expand, the need for consistent operational environments, stringent access controls, and automated workflows becomes paramount. Your contributions will be crucial in streamlining engineering processes and mitigating operational risks.
  • • You will be instrumental in maintaining the reliability of our internal systems and engineering infrastructure. This involves deep-dive troubleshooting, meticulous incident investigation, the creation of comprehensive documentation, and fostering clear communication channels. You will leverage Linear as our primary ticketing and triage system and collaborate closely with the Engineering team to proactively identify and resolve recurring infrastructure challenges.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end ownership of deployment environments, cloud infrastructure provisioning, endpoint configuration management, and the implementation of robust networking and security practices. Your primary accountability is to guarantee that our infrastructure remains consistent, secure, and highly reliable, thereby removing unnecessary blockers for the engineering team and enabling them to ship and deploy robots efficiently.
  • • Key responsibilities include automating and maintaining deployment workflows to streamline the rollout of robot cells, minimize manual setup efforts, and eliminate recurring operational issues. You will be tasked with containerizing and stabilizing our robotics software stack to ensure consistent and reproducible environments across development, cloud, and production systems.
  • • Furthermore, you will standardize and manage both Linux and Windows environments, establishing repeatable configuration and provisioning practices. This includes provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on secure access, permissions, and identity management (e.g., SSO, SSH), taking clear ownership of reliability and recovery strategies.
  • • You will configure and manage our networking infrastructure, including VPNs and secure remote access solutions, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity. Owning endpoint security and system hardening across all internal machines and deployed systems is also a critical aspect of this role.
  • • Designing and operating comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems will be a key duty, where you will lead incident response efforts, conduct thorough root cause analyses, and implement preventative improvements to enhance system stability.
  • • You will own the operational intake and prioritization of infrastructure-related issues, ensuring clear communication throughout the resolution process and implementing structured approaches to problem-solving. Maintaining detailed and clear documentation of environments, incident learnings, established processes, and recovery procedures is essential for ensuring operational continuity and knowledge transfer.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge robotics, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity, contributing directly to the success of a rapidly growing company in a nascent and exciting industry. Your work will have a tangible impact on the efficiency, security, and scalability of our operations, directly supporting our mission to bring advanced robotic solutions to manufacturers worldwide.
