• • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing, cross-functional technology team of software engineers, DevOps professionals, database developers, and system analysts who support mission-critical enterprise applications across the One80 Intermediaries global platform.
• • Own and evolve the Azure cloud strategy end-to-end—architecture, deployment, governance, cost optimization, and adoption of cloud-native services such as microservices, containers, AKS, and serverless solutions—ensuring 99.9 % uptime and sub-second response times for applications that process more than $18 billion in annual premium.
• • Drive the modernization of legacy Java Spring-based enterprise applications, SQL Server backends, and Angular front-end solutions, transforming monolithic codebases into scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native architectures that comply with stringent insurance and financial-services regulations.
• • Establish and continuously improve enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, and automated testing frameworks, enabling zero-downtime releases across development, QA, staging, and production environments while reducing deployment time from days to minutes.
• • Partner directly with business leaders, underwriters, actuaries, and external vendors to translate complex business requirements into actionable technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering measurable ROI on every initiative.
• • Champion security, compliance, and risk management best practices—implementing SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and state insurance department guidelines—while leading incident response and participating in on-call rotations to safeguard customer data and maintain regulatory confidence.
• • Foster a culture of innovation, psychological safety, and continuous improvement by instituting agile ceremonies, hackathons, and knowledge-sharing sessions that empower engineers to experiment with emerging technologies and deliver breakthrough solutions.
• • Optimize cloud spend through rigorous tagging, rightsizing, reserved instances, and FinOps governance, achieving a 20 % reduction in annual Azure costs without compromising performance or availability.
• • Oversee vendor and third-party integrations, negotiating SLAs, managing contracts, and ensuring seamless connectivity between One80’s platforms and external data providers, rating engines, and carrier systems.
• • Provide executive-level reporting on KPIs such as system availability, deployment frequency, mean time to recovery, and customer satisfaction, translating technical metrics into compelling business narratives for C-suite stakeholders.
• • Act as the primary escalation point for P1 incidents, leveraging runbooks, chaos engineering, and automated remediation to restore service within agreed SLAs and conduct blameless post-mortems that drive systemic improvements.
• • Spearhead disaster-recovery and business-continuity planning, designing multi-region failover strategies that guarantee RPO < 15 minutes and RTO < 1 hour for critical underwriting and claims systems.
• • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement zero-trust architecture, identity and access management (IAM), secrets management, and continuous vulnerability scanning, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory landscapes.
• • Guide the adoption of observability best practices—centralized logging, distributed tracing, synthetic monitoring, and real-time alerting—empowering teams to proactively detect and resolve issues before they impact end users.
• • Contribute to One80’s technology brand by speaking at industry conferences, publishing technical blogs, and mentoring junior talent through formal internship and rotational programs that build the next generation of cloud leaders.
