• • As Scribe's first dedicated IT hire, you will be the pivotal force behind our IT operations and employee technology experience, acting as the backbone for a rapidly growing, globally distributed team of over 200 individuals. This role is a unique opportunity to take complete ownership of Scribe's internal technology infrastructure, from initial setup to ongoing management, ensuring a seamless, secure, and efficient environment for every team member. • • In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will meticulously manage the entire employee technology lifecycle. This includes architecting and implementing streamlined processes for onboarding new hires, ensuring they have the necessary technology and access from day one, and developing efficient offboarding procedures. A key focus will be the comprehensive management of Scribe's device fleet, encompassing the procurement, imaging, configuration, deployment, and eventual return of laptops. You will leverage Apple MDM tooling and Kandji to maintain strict control over all endpoints, ensuring they are consistently enrolled, configured according to company standards, and compliant with security policies. Furthermore, you will be the primary administrator for access management, overseeing user provisioning and deprovisioning, managing Single Sign-On (SSO) applications through Okta, configuring Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and conducting regular access reviews to uphold the principle of least privilege. Your role will also involve serving as the central point of contact for all internal IT support requests, adeptly troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues for both remote and in-office employees with speed, efficiency, and a high degree of empathy. You will also take charge of administering Scribe's diverse SaaS tool stack, diligently managing licenses, monitoring usage patterns, evaluating potential new tools, and ensuring both cost-efficiency and adherence to compliance requirements. A critical aspect of your role will be close collaboration with the Information Security team to continuously enhance and maintain security controls, including device encryption, timely patching, robust endpoint protection, and stringent user access governance. You will play a vital role in supporting SOC 2 compliance efforts by meticulously maintaining internal IT controls, thoroughly documenting security practices, and actively collaborating with teams to ensure audit readiness. Additionally, you will manage relationships with external vendors responsible for office infrastructure, including physical networks (such as WAN/WLAN, IDF/MDF, VLAN configurations), audio-visual systems, and badge access systems, ensuring smooth coordination and service delivery. Finally, you will be responsible for building and maintaining comprehensive IT documentation, including process guides, runbooks, and knowledge base articles, to ensure that IT workflows are not only repeatable and transparent but also easily understandable for both technical and non-technical team members. You will also be tasked with continuously evaluating and improving existing IT workflows and tooling, with a strong emphasis on driving automation, minimizing manual effort, and ensuring that IT operations can scale effectively in parallel with the company's growth.
