📋 Description

• As an IT Project Manager at Fundraise Up, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the development and delivery of our cutting-edge global fundraising platform. You will be instrumental in ensuring our engineering teams operate with maximum efficiency and alignment, contributing directly to our mission of making charitable giving seamless and accessible worldwide.
• Fundraise Up is a leading enterprise-level fundraising platform, trusted by major nonprofits like UNICEF and the Alzheimer’s Association. Our technology powers tens of millions of dollars in donations monthly, driven by a relentless focus on innovation that enhances user experience and conversion rates. • Our product ecosystem is vast and intricate, encompassing a modern checkout experience with customizable widgets, robust donor, organization, and partner portals, comprehensive admin tools, and various internal applications. This complexity requires meticulous planning and coordination, which is where your expertise will be crucial.
• You will be joining a dynamic and distributed team of over 120 product professionals, including more than 35 engineers. Our team members are spread across Europe, fostering a collaborative environment rich in technical curiosity and knowledge sharing. Many of our developers possess 5-10+ years of experience, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• In this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of three other project managers, supporting our growing engineering department. As the company has scaled, the need for dedicated project management has become evident, and you will be key to meeting this demand.
• A core aspect of your responsibility will be to actively participate in the strategic roadmap building process. This involves gaining a deep understanding of team capacities, identifying potential bottlenecks, and making informed recommendations on task allocation to ensure optimal resource utilization and timely project progression.
• You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of our development teams. This means maintaining a clear overview of ongoing projects, understanding who is assigned to specific tasks, identifying and addressing any impediments or resource gaps that may arise, and ensuring smooth workflow.
• A significant part of your role will involve monitoring project alignment with the established plan, assessing team performance against commitments, and proactively identifying recurring process issues. You will be empowered to propose and implement improvements to enhance our development lifecycle and overall efficiency.
• Effective communication is paramount. You will serve as a key liaison, communicating with both our Russian-speaking development teams and our American-based colleagues. This includes providing updates on project timelines, clarifying task statuses, and actively working to remove any blockers that hinder progress.
• You will contribute to fostering a culture of quality, mentorship, and mutual respect within the engineering department. Your ability to facilitate clear communication and problem-solving will be vital in maintaining our high standards and collaborative spirit.
• You will leverage your technical background to understand the intricacies of our platform, which is built using Node.js (Koa, NestJS), MongoDB, Webpack, Vue.js, React, TypeScript, Kafka, Bull (Redis), ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch. This technical fluency will enable you to engage effectively with engineers and make informed project decisions.
• Your role extends to ensuring that our development efforts are aligned with the company's product vision and business objectives. You will help translate strategic goals into actionable development plans and track progress towards their achievement.
• By proactively managing risks and dependencies, you will ensure the successful and timely delivery of complex software features and enhancements that directly impact our clients and the millions of donors who use our platform.
• You will contribute to a transparent company culture by helping to articulate project progress and challenges, aligning with our commitment to sharing information about our growth and future plans.
• Ultimately, your work as an IT Project Manager will directly contribute to Fundraise Up's continued success and its ability to empower nonprofits globally through innovative technology.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT project management experience, preferably within a software development environment.
• Proven technical background, with a solid understanding of web services, JavaScript (JS), TypeScript (TS), Unified Modeling Language (UML), and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). Prior experience as a developer is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in creating reports and writing simple scripts for data analysis, with strong familiarity with tools like Google Sheets and SQL.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to author clear and comprehensive documents and effectively coordinate teamwork across diverse teams.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level), enabling confident and articulate communication on any technical topic with international colleagues.
