📋 Description

• FundraiseUp is seeking a dedicated and technically adept IT Project Manager to join our growing global team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth execution of our complex product development lifecycle, bridging the gap between our engineering teams and strategic objectives. As a remote-first company, we value autonomy, clear communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be instrumental in maintaining project timelines, identifying and mitigating risks, and fostering efficient collaboration across diverse teams.
• In this role, you will become an integral part of our product development process, working alongside three other Project Managers. As FundraiseUp has scaled, the need for dedicated project management has become increasingly apparent. Your primary focus will be to provide the necessary coordination and oversight to ensure our development efforts align with our ambitious roadmap and deliver exceptional value to our nonprofit clients. You will be the connective tissue, ensuring that information flows effectively and that potential roadblocks are addressed proactively.
• A significant aspect of your responsibility will involve contributing to the strategic roadmap. This means understanding the capacity and workload of our development teams, identifying which teams are best positioned to tackle specific tasks, and making informed recommendations about project prioritization. Your insights will help shape our development trajectory, ensuring we are allocating resources effectively and focusing on initiatives that yield the greatest impact.
• You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of our development teams. This involves maintaining a clear understanding of ongoing projects, who is assigned to each task, and identifying any bottlenecks or dependencies that could impede progress. Your ability to track progress and anticipate challenges will be key to maintaining momentum and ensuring timely delivery of features and improvements.
• A core function of this role is to monitor the alignment of development efforts with the established plan. This includes tracking team performance against commitments and identifying recurring process issues. You will be empowered to propose and implement improvements to our workflows, enhancing efficiency and overall productivity. Your proactive approach to process optimization will be highly valued.
• Effective communication is paramount. You will serve as a key liaison between our Russian-speaking engineering teams and our American colleagues. This involves clearly articulating project status, answering questions regarding timelines and deliverables, and actively working to remove any blockers that hinder progress. Your ability to facilitate clear and concise communication across different time zones and cultural backgrounds will be essential.
• FundraiseUp is a global fundraising platform dedicated to making donating to nonprofits fast, seamless, and accessible. Our technology powers millions of dollars in donations monthly, and we are committed to innovation that drives results. We serve enterprise-level nonprofits across North America, the UK, Australia, and Europe, building a complex product ecosystem that includes modern checkout experiences, customizable widgets, donor portals, admin tools, and internal applications. Our robust tech stack includes Node.js, MongoDB, Vue.js, React, TypeScript, Kafka, Bull, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.
• You will be joining a distributed team of over 120 product professionals, including more than 35 engineers, primarily based in Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Turkey, and Cyprus. 🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably within a software development environment.
• A strong technical background, with a solid understanding of web services, JavaScript (JS), TypeScript (TS), Unified Modeling Language (UML), and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). Prior experience as a developer is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in creating reports and writing simple scripts for data analysis, with a strong command of Google Sheets and SQL.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to write clear and comprehensive documentation and effectively coordinate teamwork across distributed teams.
• C1 level English proficiency, enabling confident and articulate communication on any technical topic.
