• • Fundraise Up is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Project Manager to join our globally distributed team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of our complex product development lifecycle. As an IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our engineering teams and our product vision, ensuring that our innovative fundraising platform continues to evolve and meet the needs of nonprofits worldwide. You will be instrumental in coordinating development efforts, managing timelines, and fostering effective communication across diverse teams and time zones.
• • In this role, you will be deeply involved in the strategic planning and execution of our product roadmap. This includes understanding team capacities, identifying potential bottlenecks, and allocating resources effectively to maximize productivity and achieve project milestones. Your ability to assess team workloads and project feasibility will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality features and improvements to our platform.
• • You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of development activities. This means maintaining a clear overview of ongoing projects, understanding who is working on what, identifying any impediments or dependencies, and proactively addressing them. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of the development process will be essential in keeping projects on track and ensuring seamless progress.
• • A key aspect of this role involves monitoring project alignment with the established plan and ensuring that team performance meets our high standards. You will be tasked with identifying recurring process issues and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Your insights will help us refine our development methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• • Communication is paramount in this position. You will act as a key liaison between our Russian-speaking engineering teams and our American colleagues, facilitating clear and concise information exchange. This includes providing updates on project status, answering queries regarding timelines and deliverables, and actively working to remove any blockers that hinder progress. Your ability to communicate effectively across different cultural and linguistic backgrounds will be vital.
• • Fundraise Up is a global fundraising platform committed to making donations fast, seamless, and accessible. Our technology powers millions of dollars in donations monthly for leading nonprofits like UNICEF and the Alzheimer’s Association. We pride ourselves on innovation that drives results, focusing on faster load times, higher conversion rates, global payment support, and accessibility. Our platform is a large and complex ecosystem, encompassing a modern checkout experience, customizable widgets, donor, organization, and partner portals, admin tools, and internal applications. The backend is built with Node.js (Koa, NestJS) and MongoDB, while the frontend utilizes Webpack, Vue.js, and React, predominantly in TypeScript. We leverage Kafka for high-throughput messaging, Bull (Redis) for background processing, ClickHouse for analytics, and Elasticsearch for search capabilities.
• • You will join a team of three existing project managers, contributing to a larger, distributed workforce of over 120 product professionals, including more than 35 engineers. Our team members are primarily located across Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Turkey, and Cyprus. Many of our developers possess 5-10+ years of experience, and we cultivate an environment that encourages deep technical curiosity and knowledge sharing. Despite our scale, we operate with the focus and agility of a small team, valuing thoughtful collaboration, robust engineering practices, and a strong product mindset. Regular engineering forums provide a platform for sharing learnings and celebrating technical achievements, ensuring a culture where quality, mentorship, and mutual respect are prioritized.
