- • Own the architecture strategy and hands-on delivery for IT and security engineering initiatives across identity, endpoint, and security operations.
- • Translate security and IT objectives into actionable workflows, automation patterns, and comprehensive documentation to ensure scalability and compliance.
- • Serve as the primary technical lead for identity lifecycle management using Okta, including SSO, SCIM, MFA, conditional access, and session security controls.
- • Maintain and refine RBAC/ABAC models and least-privilege access controls across all systems and applications.
- • Implement and enforce Zero Trust device posture using Jamf Pro for macOS and Microsoft Intune for Windows, including secure baselines, configuration profiles, and compliance enforcement.
- • Manage EDR deployment to enhance detection quality, incident readiness, and automated remediation capabilities.
- • Deploy self-service endpoint capabilities to reduce employee friction while ensuring timely and secure application access.
- • Maintain centralized logging and monitoring pipelines across identity, endpoint, and SaaS platforms to enable high-signal, low-noise event visibility.
- • Create and refine detection alerts based on threat intelligence and operational patterns to improve security posture.
- • Lead technical investigations during security incidents, including evidence gathering, forensic analysis, containment, and remediation recommendations.
- • Collaborate with the Head of IT & Security on incident prioritization, business-impact assessments, and cross-functional communication.
- • Maintain and optimize core SaaS, collaboration, and IT platforms for reliability, scalability, and performance.
- • Own hardware and software lifecycle management: procurement, deployment, inventory tracking, and secure decommissioning.
- • Maintain and regularly test backup, continuity, and disaster recovery processes to ensure business resilience.
- • Document and maintain system diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, and internal knowledge articles for operational continuity.
- • Support GovWorx compliance frameworks through control enforcement, audit evidence collection, and documentation for SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, or similar standards.
- • Maintain an inventory of SaaS applications and OAuth integrations, reviewing and controlling privileged access and scope boundaries.
- • Manage the lifecycle of service accounts, API keys, certificates, and secrets, enforcing secure storage and automated rotation.
- • Assist in vendor security evaluations, risk assessments, and contributions to the organization’s risk register.
- • Mentor team members on technical troubleshooting, configuration best practices, and security-first culture development.
- • Ensure all systems and processes align with federal and industry compliance requirements to protect data used by public safety professionals.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in IT, security engineering, or a combined technical role.
- • Hands-on expertise with Okta (SSO, SCIM, MFA, lifecycle management) and RBAC/ABAC access models.
- • Proficiency with Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and compliance enforcement.
- • Experience with EDR platforms, SIEM tooling, and centralized logging infrastructure.
- • Working knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles and their practical application.
- • Experience supporting compliance frameworks (SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, or similar).
