📋 Description

• The IT Systems Engineer, Identity & Automation role at Clay Labs Inc. is critical to building and scaling the systems that power employee access, security, device management, and IT operations as the company experiences rapid growth.
• Day to day, the person will design and deploy identity architecture, automate employee lifecycle processes (onboarding/offboarding/device enrollment), build workflows to eliminate manual IT work, evolve the internal technology stack (including endpoint and service management), and partner with Security, People Ops, Finance, GTM, and Engineering teams to deliver secure, seamless employee experiences.
• Clay Labs is a high-growth AI-driven marketing platform serving thousands of customers including Anthropic, Notion, Google, and Ramp, backed by $100M in Series C funding and operating at a $5B valuation, with a unique culture that values creativity, autonomy, and employee well-being through initiatives like free coaching and community equity.
• In this role, the person will gain deep expertise in enterprise identity systems (especially Okta), automation platforms, zero-trust architecture, and IT scalability in a high-growth tech environment, while having the opportunity to shape foundational IT infrastructure from the ground up with outsized impact.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in IT engineering, enterprise systems, identity and access management, or a related role
• Okta Certified Administrator or Okta Certified Consultant certification, or equivalent hands-on experience leading a significant Okta implementation
• Experience designing, implementing, or significantly expanding identity and access management platforms such as Okta
• Understanding of modern identity concepts including SSO, lifecycle management, SCIM, RBAC, group-based access controls, device trust, and conditional access
• Experience building workflows using automation platforms such as Okta Workflows, N8N, Tines, Workato, or similar tools
• Experience supporting endpoint management, device security, and modern workplace technologies
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and build systems and processes from the ground up
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Can-do attitude with willingness to do whatever it takes to get nascent IT operations running smoothly
