• • As an IT Systems Engineer at Enpal B.V., you will be an integral part of our dynamic IT Infrastructure team, playing a pivotal role in the administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the critical IT systems that underpin our operations. Your expertise will be essential in managing and controlling a diverse range of end-user devices, essential services, and vital enterprise applications. This position demands a high level of technical proficiency, a forward-thinking approach to system management, and exceptional problem-solving capabilities, particularly in handling complex 2nd and 3rd-level technical support escalations.
• • Your primary focus will be on ensuring the unwavering stability, robust security, and seamless scalability of our core platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD) for sophisticated identity and access management, Jamf and Microsoft Intune for comprehensive device management across various operating systems, the Microsoft Office 365 suite (encompassing Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and their associated services), Microsoft Defender for advanced endpoint protection, and the Atlassian suite of tools (such as Jira for project tracking and Confluence for knowledge management). You will be instrumental in maintaining optimal system performance, diligently applying necessary updates and patches, and guaranteeing high availability for all critical IT services.
• • Key Responsibilities:
• • System Administration and Maintenance:
• • Administer, configure, and meticulously maintain our core IT systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
• • Manage Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) to enforce robust identity and access management policies, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, group management, and conditional access.
• • Oversee and optimize device management using Microsoft Intune and Jamf, ensuring all endpoints are compliant, secure, and up-to-date.
• • Maintain the integrity and functionality of the Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Exchange Online for email, Teams for communication, and SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
• • Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for endpoint security, actively monitoring for threats and responding to security incidents.
• • Administer and support Atlassian tools, such as Jira and Confluence, to facilitate efficient project management, issue tracking, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• • Proactively monitor system performance metrics, apply critical updates and patches in a timely manner, and ensure maximum uptime for all essential IT services.
• • Support and Troubleshooting:
• • Provide expert 2nd and 3rd-level technical support for complex IT systems and infrastructure issues, efficiently resolving escalated incidents to minimize disruption.
• • Conduct thorough root cause analysis for recurring technical problems, developing and implementing permanent solutions or system enhancements to prevent future occurrences.
• • Collaborate closely with the IT Support and Hardware teams to effectively address intricate technical challenges related to device management, user access, and application functionality.
• • Network Infrastructure Management:
• • Administer and maintain our Cisco Meraki network infrastructure, encompassing access points, switches, and security appliances, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
• • Manage and troubleshoot VPN solutions to guarantee secure and reliable remote access for all employees, supporting our flexible work environment.
• • Continuously monitor network performance and connectivity, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize any potential downtime.
• • Implement and manage network segmentation, VLAN configurations, and routing protocols to enhance both performance and security across the network.
• • Configuration and Project Leadership:
• • Configure IT systems precisely to align with established organizational policies, security standards, and evolving operational requirements.
• • Take ownership of and actively contribute to IT projects, including system migrations, major upgrades, and the integration of new enterprise tools.
• • Develop, implement, and maintain system automation workflows for routine and repetitive tasks, leveraging scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to improve efficiency.
• • Security and Compliance:
• • Implement and rigorously enforce IT security measures, including the configuration of role-based access controls (RBAC), data encryption, and comprehensive endpoint security policies.
• • Ensure strict adherence to company IT policies, relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), and all audit requirements across all managed IT systems.
• • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
• • Create and maintain detailed, up-to-date documentation for all system configurations, operational processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• • Actively share knowledge and provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members and IT Support staff on system usage, best practices, and effective troubleshooting techniques.
