  • • You will serve as a regulatory specialist and a technology generalist, reporting directly to the ITS Regulatory Team Lead. A primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and actionable reporting of data to both internal stakeholders and government entities.
  • • Through meticulous analysis and close collaboration with IT and operations teams, you will actively support the critical efforts required for successful regulatory compliance within a large academic medical center.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass supporting system configuration, build, and workflow development necessary to maintain ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • • You will provide essential regulatory subject matter expertise, acting as an internal consultant on various assigned projects and initiatives.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves managing large, multi-disciplinary regulatory projects from inception to completion.
  • • You will be tasked with analyzing existing workflows and gaining a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and constraints of clinical or business operations as they relate to regulatory requirements.
  • • Conduct in-depth and precise investigations, meticulously documenting operational specifications and reporting requirements.
  • • Analyze new application releases to proactively identify and address regulatory build and reporting needs, ensuring timely adaptation.
  • • As requested, you will evaluate new applications, providing informed recommendations to management regarding their suitability and impact on regulatory compliance.
  • • You will serve as a mentor to new and less experienced application analysts, sharing your knowledge and fostering their development.
  • • Stay current with evolving regulatory landscapes by tracking, reading, and analyzing new rulemaking and annual updates to existing regulations.
  • • Maintain essential Epic certifications, demonstrating ongoing proficiency in key healthcare IT systems.
  • • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary to support the ITS Regulatory Team's objectives and the organization's compliance goals.
  • • This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential compliance risks and opportunities for improvement within the technology and clinical infrastructure.
  • • You will contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures for regulatory reporting and application management.
  • • Engage with cross-functional teams, including clinical staff, IT professionals, and administrative personnel, to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure successful implementation of regulatory changes.
  • • Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable technical specifications and build configurations within the EHR and other relevant systems.
  • • Participate in testing and validation cycles to ensure the accuracy and integrity of regulatory reports and system functionalities.
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of regulatory processes and systems, leveraging data and feedback to drive enhancements.
  • • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for regulatory configurations, workflows, and reporting processes.
  • • Support audits and reviews by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to regulatory compliance.
  • • Foster a culture of compliance and continuous learning within the team and across the organization.
