  • • As the Japan Community & Advocacy Manager at Miro, you will be instrumental in shaping and expanding Miro's presence within the vibrant Japanese market. This pivotal role sits within the dedicated Community Experience team, focused on empowering our most engaged users, creators, and advocates. Your primary mission will be to amplify their voices, inspiring a broader audience to harness Miro's visual workspace for innovation and the creation of groundbreaking ideas.
  • • You will be responsible for the strategic design and meticulous execution of community programs tailored to bring Miro users across Japan together. This includes conceptualizing and facilitating local meetups, establishing and nurturing user groups, and supporting community-led events that foster connection and knowledge sharing. A key aspect of this role involves identifying, recruiting, and actively enabling local Miro advocates and meetup organizers. You will equip them with essential resources, branded merchandise (swag), and ongoing support to ensure their success and the growth of their communities.
  • • A significant part of your mandate will be to plan and execute Miro-hosted events specifically designed for product managers, engineers, and designers, providing them with valuable insights and networking opportunities. You will cultivate strong, long-term relationships with power users, influential community organizers, and dedicated advocates, fostering a deep sense of engagement and loyalty. To ensure scalability and rapid learning, you will develop localized activation playbooks that can be effectively replicated across different initiatives and regions.
  • • A critical and highly visible component of this role is serving as Miro's primary evangelist within the Japanese market. You will be expected to deliver over 20 impactful presentations annually at a variety of forums, including community meetups, partner events, industry conferences, and customer gatherings. This requires developing compelling narratives and dynamic product demonstrations that are meticulously tailored to resonate with diverse Japanese audiences. Your presentations will span various contexts, from in-depth technical deep-dives and high-level executive overviews to engaging hands-on workshops.
  • • Your efforts will focus on building personal credibility and establishing a strong visibility as a thought leader within the Japanese product development and innovation ecosystem. To facilitate broader adoption and consistency, you will create reusable presentation assets, standardized demo flows, and effective talk tracks that can be leveraged by the wider Miro team and our partners. This ensures a cohesive and high-quality brand experience across all evangelism activities.
  • • You will also drive strategic partnerships and impactful activations by identifying and securing collaborations with key local tech communities. This includes engaging with accelerators, hackathons, professional organizations, and other relevant entities. You will identify, manage, and nurture relationships with creators, product experts, thought leaders, and partners who share a passion for innovation and visual collaboration. Furthermore, you will create and execute engaging end-user activations at partner events designed to significantly drive awareness and encourage product trial.
  • • To extend Miro's reach and impact, you will foster co-creation opportunities, such as developing joint videos, tutorials, event appearances, and social media content with influential individuals and organizations. Your role will demand operational excellence in managing event logistics end-to-end, encompassing venue sourcing, registration processes, collateral production, on-site execution, and comprehensive content capture. You will own and manage the regional community budget, ensuring operational best practices and demonstrating clear accountability for return on investment (ROI).
  • • You will diligently track and report on key community metrics, including event attendance, content creation output, social advocacy engagement, brand sentiment analysis, and the overall reach and impact of your evangelism efforts. Close collaboration with the Regional Marketing team, the global Community Experience team, Social media teams, and other cross-functional partners will be essential for success, ensuring alignment and maximizing collective impact.
