- • Maintain the general ledger by accurately recording transactions and ensuring completeness of financial data
- • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications in accordance with company policies
- • Review and process employee expense reports following established company guidelines
- • Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy
- • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes
- • Utilize accounting systems and reporting tools to process transactions and generate financial reports
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, resolve financial discrepancies, and support business objectives
- • Assist with inventory costing activities for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods using weighted average costing methodologies
- • Analyze inventory cost variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- • Prepare inventory-related reports and analyses to support management decision-making
- • Work closely with Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation
- • Identify opportunities to improve inventory costing processes, controls, and reporting accuracy
- • Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing reconciliation schedules, documentation, and financial reports
- • Perform detailed general ledger account reconciliations and resolve variances between actual results and budgets or forecasts
- • Analyze financial results against budgets, prior periods, and forecasts to provide insights for business planning
- • Prepare financial reporting packages for management review and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- • Prepare audit schedules and provide documentation and support during internal and external audits
- • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as requested by the Senior Accounting Manager
- • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency within the Finance department
- • Support implementation of process improvements and best practices to increase operational effectiveness
- • Work standard business hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST in a remote capacity
🎯 Requirements
- • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- • 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
- • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- • Experience with ERP or accounting systems
- • Knowledge of inventory costing methodologies, including weighted average costing
