📋 Description
- • Conduct clinical reviews of patients via video call as part of their ongoing treatment journey with cannabis-based medicines (CBPM).
- • Prescribe individualised CBPM treatments tailored to each patient’s complex clinical needs, ensuring alignment with clinical guidelines and patient goals.
- • Clinically review and validate all CBPM prescriptions for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness before dispensing.
- • Provide expert clinical guidance to patients regarding treatment options, dosing, side effects, and expected outcomes.
- • Respond to complex clinical queries from patient support teams, external clinicians, and other stakeholders with evidence-based recommendations.
- • Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date patient records in full compliance with General Medical Council (GMC) standards.
- • Deliver education and training on CBPM to patients, internal clinical staff, and external healthcare professionals to enhance understanding and adoption.
- • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including consultants, pharmacists, and support specialists to optimise clinical pathways and improve patient outcomes.
- • Contribute to the design and refinement of clinical processes and service improvements based on frontline experience and patient feedback.
- • Participate in monthly Saturday on-site duties to support patient care, with one day in lieu provided for each Saturday worked.
- • Work three days per week on-site at the London office and two days remotely, maintaining consistent clinical availability and responsiveness.
- • Engage in continuous learning through structured training on cannabis-based medicines, even if prior experience is limited.
- • Act as a clinical advocate for patients navigating a novel and evolving area of medical care, ensuring compassionate and personalised support at every stage.
- • Represent Montu UK at professional events and forums to share clinical insights and promote best practices in CBPM.
- • Manage high-volume clinical workflows with precision, prioritising urgent cases while maintaining thorough documentation and regulatory compliance.
- • Proactively identify gaps in patient care or operational inefficiencies and propose practical solutions to enhance service delivery.
- • Work closely with non-clinical teams to ensure seamless patient experiences from consultation through to medication delivery and follow-up.
🎯 Requirements
- • Registered medical practitioner with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a full licence to practice
- • Completion of Foundation Year 2 (F2) training or equivalent clinical experience including a placement in GP or A&E
- • Demonstrated experience working in a clinical setting
- • Knowledge of cannabis-based medicines (CBPM) is desired but not essential; willingness to undergo specialised training is required
- • Clear and confident communicator across clinical and non-clinical audiences
- • Highly effective at managing time and prioritising competing clinical demands
