📋 Description

• • Join a rotational track across Pave Bank’s functional units: Banking & Payments, Trading, Investment Products, and Internal Products to gain end-to-end exposure to a programmable bank.
• • Ship real frontend and backend changes to production within your first months, working across the full stack on features and bugs that impact live systems.
• • Work closely with senior engineers to understand system architecture, trade-offs, and the business context behind the code you write.
• • Use AI tools as part of your daily workflow to improve engineering velocity and quality, while learning where they add genuine value versus introduce risk.
• • Take well-scoped tasks from ticket to deployment, learning the company’s codebase, tooling, and code review culture through hands-on contribution.
• • At six months, establish ownership of one or more small domains within a product line and consistently deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
• • As you grow, take responsibility for end-to-end delivery of larger features — including design, implementation, shipping, and maintenance — with measurable impact on your team’s roadmap.
• • Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, and RFCs, contributing your own proposals and feedback to improve systems and processes.
• • Improve internal tooling and systems around you, raising the bar for engineering quality and efficiency for your peers.
• • Develop strong engineering judgment by solving small problems thoughtfully, focusing on quality, reliability, and business impact over theoretical complexity.
• • Cultivate curiosity about how financial systems work, how money moves at scale, and how the business generates value through its products.
• • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, seeking feedback and iterating on your work to grow into a high-ownership technical contributor.
• • No computer science degree is required; we value curiosity, growth mindset, and the ability to ship over formal credentials.
• • More than half of our engineers come from non-technical or non-conventional backgrounds, including career switchers.
• • You will not be expected to architect complex systems immediately; deep technical expertise will develop through mentorship and real-world experience.
• • Your success is measured by the quality of what you ship, the impact of your work, and your ability to take ownership — not by years of experience.
• • You will work alongside engineers from Monzo, Atom Bank, Blockdaemon, GXS, and Grab, learning from diverse technical backgrounds.
