- • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic and hyperscaler accounts in the data centre sector, including hyperscalers, colocation providers, enterprise end users, contractors, and consultants.
- • Identify, qualify, and pursue net-new business opportunities across hyperscaler, colocation, edge, enterprise, and replacement cycles to drive short-term wins and long-term multi-year growth.
- • Develop new accounts by securing tenders, analyzing project requirements, and building competitive offers to win contracts through negotiation and client persuasion.
- • Build and maintain a robust, insight-led sales pipeline and backlog aligned with a strategic account plan for data centre customers.
- • Conduct market research and stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform and adapt sales strategies.
- • Represent Carrier at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and generate new pipeline opportunities.
- • Coordinate closely with internal teams including engineering, operations, and customer support to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- • Apply technical knowledge of hydronic chilled-water and airside cooling systems applicable to data centre infrastructure to translate technical capabilities into customer value propositions.
- • Demonstrate a hunter mentality by proactively generating pipeline, maintaining resilience, and executing with discipline to meet and exceed sales targets.
- • Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships at multiple levels within key accounts through a strategic, consultative approach focused on value creation.
- • Utilize MS Office tools effectively to manage sales documentation, reporting, and customer communications.
- • Travel as required to meet client needs and utilize regional offices to support sales activities across the EMEA region.
- • Maintain a customer-obsessed mindset, prioritizing client needs and delivering tailored solutions that align with their operational and sustainability goals.
- • Stay current on Carrier’s portfolio of high-technology heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration solutions to position them effectively within the data centre market.
- • Contribute to shaping the future of Carrier’s high-performing EMEA Data Centre sales team through strategic input and execution.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience in Key Account Management, sales, or business development within the data centre infrastructure industry
- • Proven track record managing large, complex accounts and delivering against ambitious sales targets
- • Technical knowledge of hydronic chilled-water and airside cooling products applicable to data centre cooling is highly valued
- • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into business solutions
- • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with excellent time management and organization
- • Hunter mentality with proactive pipeline generation, resilience, and disciplined execution
