đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Kubernetes Platform Architect within the vKS Application Engineering team at Broadcom, you will be at the forefront of enabling enterprise success with the vSphere Kubernetes Service (vKS) as a core component of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). Your primary mission will be to accelerate the adoption of vKS, positioning it as the definitive enterprise-grade Kubernetes platform for modern applications within private cloud environments.
  • • This role is a hands-on, customer-facing position where you will directly engage with enterprise clients, guiding them through the intricate process of designing, validating, and deploying robust vKS solutions on VCF. You will be instrumental in their journey towards modernizing their application infrastructure.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be to act as a trusted advisor to these enterprise customers. You will provide expert guidance on the architectural design, rigorous validation processes, and successful deployment of vKS solutions, ensuring they align with the specific needs and strategic objectives of each client.
  • • You will collaborate closely and proactively with field account teams. This partnership is crucial for aligning proposed solution architectures with customer priorities, ensuring that every engagement is strategically focused and drives successful, measurable outcomes.
  • • Leading technical discovery sessions, in-depth workshops, and hands-on proof-of-concepts (POCs) will be a significant part of your responsibilities. These activities are designed to validate proposed vKS architectures, demonstrate tangible business value, and build confidence with the customer.
  • • You will work in tandem with the sales organization to jointly develop compelling customer proposals. These proposals will specifically address critical modernization goals, strategic workload placement decisions, and the broader operational transformation initiatives of the client.
  • • Providing prescriptive guidance on best practices for Kubernetes adoption is essential. This includes advising on DevOps principles, seamless CI/CD integration, and addressing critical enterprise requirements such as high scalability, stringent security measures, and robust disaster recovery strategies.
  • • A vital contribution will be the creation and dissemination of valuable technical assets. This includes developing and sharing comprehensive reference architectures, proven deployment patterns, and other technical documentation to significantly accelerate customer adoption and proficiency with vKS.
  • • You will be responsible for delivering clear, compelling, and persuasive technical presentations. These presentations must effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse range of audiences, from deep-technical architects to executive decision-makers.
  • • Continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends are paramount. You will actively monitor the competitive landscape, understand competitor offerings, and track evolving enterprise requirements to effectively position vKS as the superior solution.
  • • You will serve as a critical conduit between the field and internal teams. By collaborating closely with product management and engineering, you will provide invaluable field feedback that directly influences and shapes the future roadmap and development direction of vKS.
  • • This role demands a proactive and results-oriented approach, focusing on driving customer success and solidifying VMware's position as a leader in enterprise Kubernetes solutions.
  • • You will be expected to understand and articulate the value proposition of vKS within the broader VMware Cloud Foundation ecosystem, highlighting its integration capabilities and operational efficiencies.
  • • Engaging in troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex customer environments will be necessary, requiring a deep understanding of the entire VCF stack and Kubernetes intricacies.
  • • Contributing to the development of internal best practices and training materials for the broader vKS Application Engineering team will also be a key contribution.
  • • Ultimately, your success will be measured by the successful adoption and expansion of vKS within key enterprise accounts, driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
