- • This freelance KYC/CDD/AML Specialist - AI Trainer role is critical for ensuring that next-generation AI models accurately reflect real-world financial crime compliance standards across the EU and UK, directly influencing how AI systems detect and prevent illicit financial activity.
- • The role leverages deep regulatory expertise to bridge the gap between human compliance judgment and machine learning, enabling AI to reason about complex AML frameworks with practical authenticity rather than theoretical correctness.
- • Day to day, you will review and refine AI-generated outputs related to KYC, CDD, and AML, assessing them for regulatory accuracy under frameworks such as 4th/5th AMLD, JMLSG guidance, and FCA expectations, ensuring responses align with real supervisory expectations.
- • You will evaluate AI responses not just for technical correctness but for business realism — judging whether suggested customer due diligence steps, risk scoring logic, or SAR filing rationales reflect how compliance professionals actually operate in regulated institutions.
- • Drawing from direct experience, you will draft realistic compliance scenarios covering customer onboarding enhancements, dynamic risk assessment triggers, investigation workflows, and SAR preparation, each grounded in actual case types you’ve encountered.
- • You will create multiple variations of each scenario from different stakeholder perspectives — such as a frontline compliance analyst, an MLRO escalating concerns, an internal auditor testing controls, or a regulator assessing systemic risk — to train AI to understand contextual nuance.
- • A core responsibility is identifying logical gaps, oversimplifications, or missing risk factors in AI-generated reasoning, such as failure to consider beneficial ownership complexity, inadequate transaction monitoring thresholds, or culturally specific evasion tactics.
- • You will provide structured, actionable feedback that helps retrain models to avoid over-reliance on checkbox compliance and instead develop contextual, risk-based judgment akin to seasoned professionals.
