- • Support the negotiation, preparation, and closing of complex land agreements including leases, purchases, easements, and surface waivers, working closely with internal and external legal teams.
- • Manage land-related data with high accuracy by maintaining tracking systems, conducting audits, and ensuring reliable, up-to-date records for multiple large-scale energy and data center projects.
- • Support land acquisition budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting, including the preparation of executive-level summaries and materials for internal stakeholders.
- • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and analytical summaries to enhance project visibility and inform decision-making across teams.
- • Identify and implement process improvements, including the adoption of automation tools, to increase reporting efficiency and improve data integrity across land acquisition workflows.
- • Lead key stages of the land acquisition process, including resolving title and survey issues to ensure timely project progression.
- • Strategically oversee third-party land agents and document specialists, ensuring consistent communication, documentation quality, and alignment with project timelines.
- • Collaborate daily with Development and Permitting Teams to align land acquisition activities with overall project schedules and regulatory requirements.
- • Provide direct support to Land Acquisition Managers and Directors on priority projects, delivering timely insights and actionable data.
- • Work primarily within the ERCOT and SPP markets across a portfolio of technologies including wind, solar, storage, OGM, transmission, and data center infrastructure.
- • Maintain precise records of land acquisition activities across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory expectations.
- • Utilize Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) to organize complex datasets, build dynamic trackers, and create professional reporting materials for cross-functional teams.
- • Contribute to site selection strategies by analyzing land availability, ownership patterns, and logistical constraints to support project economics and scheduling.
- • Engage in team gatherings four times annually during Team Week and at one of the company’s Hub locations: SF Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, Denver, CO, Austin, TX, Calgary, AB, or Toronto, ON.
- • Operate within a fully flexible work model with no enforced remote/hybrid/in-office policy, but candidates must reside within 60 miles of one of the listed Hub locations to facilitate in-person collaboration.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, Land Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- • 2+ years of experience in real estate, renewable energy, project coordination, land acquisition, or related work
- • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes
- • High level of proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) for data organization, tracker maintenance, and reporting
- • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
