- • As a Laotian Interpreter at LanguageLine Solutions, you will provide essential video-phone interpretation services that break down language barriers for limited-English speakers across critical sectors including healthcare, emergency response, education, government, and business.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to interpreting requests, accurately conveying meaning between Laotian and English speakers, maintaining professionalism during emotionally charged or high-stress calls (such as 911 or medical emergencies), and using dedicated devices to support real-time interpretation while adhering to strict confidentiality and protocol standards.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in both Laotian and English, including understanding of cultural dynamics and regional accents
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and detached during sensitive or emotionally charged conversations
- • High school diploma or equivalent, plus preferred experience in teaching, translation, or language-related fields
- • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
- • Access to a quiet, secure workspace and a dedicated personal device (laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone) with reliable high-speed internet (minimum 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload)
