- • As a Program Manager on the Foundations Data and Operations team at OpenAI, you will lead critical data acquisition programs that directly fuel the development of frontier AI models, enabling breakthroughs that benefit hundreds of millions of users worldwide.
- • You will work closely with research teams to translate complex AI training needs into actionable data acquisition strategies, design and manage scalable workflows, and ensure high-quality data delivery through vendor partnerships and internal process optimization.
- • The Foundations Data and Operations team is responsible for powering OpenAI’s model training through high-impact initiatives like web crawling and data partnerships, operating at the intersection of research, engineering, and operations to advance AI capabilities.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in AI data lifecycle management, cross-functional program leadership, and strategic vendor engagement, positioning you to drive significant impact on OpenAI’s research roadmap while building leadership skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in operations, strategy, venture capital, private equity, or consulting, with at least 5 years operating within a company
- • Experience taking end-to-end ownership of large, ambiguous problems and breaking them down into clear, actionable plans
- • Direct experience engaging with executives and senior leaders to influence and drive strategic decisions
- • Highly analytical with sophisticated ability to ask and answer critical questions and present results clearly to influence decision making
- • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- • Passion for technology and artificial intelligence, with interest in its impact on business and society
