📋 Description

  • As a Lead Account Executive, Enterprise Sales at Veeam, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic, multi-year growth within a defined portfolio of large enterprise accounts. This senior individual contributor role is pivotal in shaping how major organizations approach data resilience, cyber resilience, and data protection modernization.
  • You will operate as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, including CIOs, CISOs, and VPs of IT, engaging them in outcome-driven conversations that highlight the strategic value of Veeam's industry-leading platform.
  • Your primary objective is to establish Veeam not merely as a point solution, but as a mission-critical partner essential for business continuity and digital transformation.
  • Success hinges on your ability to orchestrate complex enterprise sales cycles, influence key stakeholders at the C-suite level, and effectively align internal Veeam resources to meet customer needs.
  • You will be responsible for driving net-new adoption and expanding Veeam's platform footprint across intricate, multi-stakeholder environments, demonstrating a deep understanding of customer business priorities, risk postures, and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • This role demands the creation and execution of robust account-based strategies, meticulously planned and grounded in thorough data analysis, customer insights, and competitive intelligence.
  • You will lead complex negotiations, articulating not just product capabilities but the tangible business value, return on investment (ROI), and risk reduction that Veeam delivers.
  • A key aspect of your role will be identifying and aligning with the economic buyer, technical buyer, and power base within each target account to navigate the sales process effectively.
  • You will be instrumental in positioning Veeam as a strategic ally in the critical areas of cyber resilience, operational continuity, and the modernization of data protection strategies.
  • Meticulous account and pipeline management is crucial. You will build and maintain accurate, inspection-ready forecasts and ensure sufficient pipeline coverage to meet and exceed targets.
  • Developing and managing comprehensive relationship maps and account plans is essential, reflecting current engagement levels and aspirational growth targets.
  • Proactively identifying whitespace opportunities, potential expansion paths, and competitive displacement strategies will be key to driving revenue growth.
  • Effective cross-functional orchestration is paramount. You will coordinate seamlessly with Systems Engineering, Channel Partners, Marketing, Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Deal Desk, Legal, and Customer Success teams.
  • You will lead pursuit teams with a clear sense of direction, urgency, and accountability, ensuring cohesive and effective engagement with enterprise clients.
  • Acting as the customer's advocate within Veeam while upholding Veeam's standards and strategic direction externally is a core tenet of this role.
  • Consistently achieving and exceeding annual enterprise sales targets through disciplined execution and strategic account planning is the ultimate measure of success.
  • You will be responsible for owning and leading end-to-end enterprise sales cycles, from initial executive discovery through to successful closing and subsequent expansion phases.
  • The ability to develop and execute multi-year territory and account strategies is fundamental, requiring a data-driven approach and keen market awareness.
  • You will leverage your strong business acumen to translate complex customer challenges into measurable business outcomes, demonstrating the strategic impact of Veeam's solutions.
  • A proven track record of disciplined forecasting, rigorous pipeline management, and consistent territory execution is expected.
  • Experience operating within a channel-centric enterprise sales model is important for collaborating effectively with partners.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems like Salesforce and other account intelligence tools will be necessary for efficient workflow and data management.
  • This role requires a high degree of integrity, resilience, competitiveness, and personal accountability, reflecting Veeam's core values.
  • You will be working remotely within the Mid-Atlantic US region, engaging with a diverse set of enterprise clients.
  • This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the data resilience strategies of some of the world's largest brands, contributing to Veeam's position as the #1 global market leader.
  • Join a growing, learning-focused organization where you can drive innovation and secure the future of data protection for our customers.

🎯 Requirements

  • Proven success selling large, complex enterprise solutions with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to win and expand strategic accounts, not just transact.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to challenge, reframe, and influence senior leaders.
  • High level of business acumen with experience translating customer challenges into measurable outcomes.
  • Track record of disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, and territory execution.
  • Experience working within a channel-centric enterprise sales model.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and account intelligence tools.
  • High integrity, resilience, competitiveness, and personal accountability.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on your first day.

  • Fertility, adoption, and surrogacy support through Maven, plus paid volunteer time.
  • AirVet: 24/7 virtual veterinary care at no cost.
  • Legal services, identity protection, and supplemental health insurance options.
  • Tax-advantaged spending accounts for healthcare, dependent care, and commuting.
  • Opportunities to learn and grow through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops, and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning.
