📋 Description
- • Lead complex pharmacy pricing and rebate guarantee analyses for Prime’s existing and prospective clients, ensuring accurate and strategic financial modeling.
- • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on pharmacy pricing and rebate structures, collaborating with Underwriting, Clinical, Trade, Legal, Sales, and senior leadership teams.
- • Develop, review, and deliver advanced actuarial models and projections that inform client-specific pricing recommendations and market strategy.
- • Execute ad hoc analyses of pharmacy data to evaluate rebate performance, assess market events, and compare actual results against expected outcomes.
- • Provide strategic guidance on formulary methodology and rebate design using market research, financial modeling, and regulatory insights.
- • Present analytical findings and pricing recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients, confidently addressing detailed and challenging inquiries.
- • Lead high-impact, cross-functional workstreams requiring strong judgment, prioritization, and accountability across multiple departments.
- • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Analysts and junior Actuaries, fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to actuarial standards.
- • Monitor evolving health policy, regulatory changes, and market trends, and assess their implications for pharmacy pricing strategy and compliance.
- • Ensure all analyses and recommendations comply with federal regulations and professional actuarial standards.
- • Perform other duties as assigned to support the strategic objectives of the Pharmacy Pricing team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED required
- • 8 years of actuarial work experience, including 6 years within a healthcare organization or PBM
- • Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA)
- • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for visa or residency sponsorship
- • Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SAS, SQL, or VBA
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple complex priorities under tight deadlines
