📋 Description

• Lead Android Engineer at Bankjoy Inc., a Y Combinator and Bessemer Venture Partners-backed FinTech startup revolutionizing digital banking for community banks and credit unions.
• Own the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of the Android banking platform while leading a team of three Android engineers across digital banking value streams.
• Work in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment focused on delivering secure, high-quality mobile banking experiences for financial institutions and their members.
• Drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and contribute hands-on to feature development while ensuring compliance with financial services security and regulatory standards.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of Android development experience with deep Kotlin expertise
• 2+ years in a tech lead or senior engineering leadership role managing direct reports
• Strong proficiency in Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI development
• Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns — MVVM, Clean Architecture, Repository pattern
• Experience with coroutines, Flow, reactive programming, and dependency injection (Hilt or Dagger)
• Proficiency with Android testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, Mockk) and CI/CD pipelines for Android
• Demonstrated success leading Android development in a fintech, banking, or regulated product environment
• Proven ability to manage and develop engineers through 1:1s, code reviews, and performance feedback
