📋 Description

• Senior Android Engineer role focused on developing native Android solutions for digital banking products at Bankjoy, a Y Combinator and Bessemer Venture Partners-backed FinTech startup revolutionizing banking technology for community banks and credit unions.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin, partnering cross-functionally with product and design teams, architecting scalable solutions, mentoring junior engineers, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring code quality through testing and reviews.
• Bankjoy is a fast-growing FinTech startup providing modern digital banking products including mobile banking, online banking, account opening, loan origination, and conversational AI, with a mission to lead digital transformation at financial institutions.
• The role offers opportunities to lead technical initiatives, deepen expertise in Android architecture and performance optimization, mentor team members, contribute to engineering culture, and impact products used by banks and credit unions across North America.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years focused on Android development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development with experience building scalable UI, state management, and app architecture
• Proven experience designing, building, and shipping high-quality, scalable Android applications
• Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries
• Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and improving team code quality
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
