  • • As the Lead Application Architect for the Archer platform at Humana, you will be instrumental in modernizing and elevating our enterprise risk technology ecosystem. This pivotal role involves shaping strategic architecture decisions, driving the transition to Archer’s advanced NRGX platform, and significantly influencing how risk, cybersecurity, and compliance functions operate across the entire organization.
  • • You will be at the forefront of enhancing enterprise visibility, ensuring robust regulatory readiness, and empowering executive decision-making through strategic technological advancements.
  • • This is a high-impact position where your expertise will directly contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of our GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) capabilities.
  • • Your responsibilities will include performing comprehensive technical planning, developing and modifying system specifications, and architecting new products, services, applications, and offerings.
  • • A key aspect of this role is assessing the compatibility and integration of proposed standards to ensure a cohesive and integrated architecture across all interdependent applications.
  • • You will serve as a trusted advisor to executives, providing strategic guidance on functional strategies, particularly for segment-specific matters, and making independent judgments on complex issues with minimal supervision.
  • • The role demands a deep understanding of enterprise GRC domains, including IT risk, cybersecurity risk, third-party/vendor risk, compliance, audit, and privacy programs.
  • • You will lead the design, architecture, and strategic evolution of Humana’s RSA Archer IRM (Integrated Risk Management) platform, ensuring it effectively supports our GRC, cybersecurity, privacy, and operational risk initiatives.
  • • This involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, risk leaders, and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing Archer solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and regulatory requirements.
  • • A significant focus will be on driving platform modernization, including the adoption of Archer’s evolving capabilities like NRGX, while guiding development teams, establishing best practices, and ensuring sustainable solution design.
  • • You will be responsible for architecting scalable Archer applications, including complex data models, questionnaires, workflows, integrations, and access control models.
  • • This role requires a forward-looking approach to cloud technologies, automation, and integrated risk management, ensuring our platform remains at the cutting edge.
  • • You will provide technical oversight across the entire solution lifecycle, from design to implementation and ongoing management.
  • • Expertise in Archer platform administration, configuration, upgrades, and environment management (whether on-premise, SaaS, or hybrid) is crucial.
  • • You will play a key role in integrating Archer with critical enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, identity platforms, vulnerability management tools, and other security ecosystems.
  • • Strong stakeholder communication skills are essential, enabling you to effectively translate complex risk and business requirements into clear technical architecture blueprints.
  • • You will mentor junior resources, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • • The role also involves staying abreast of emerging risk management technologies and use cases, such as AI governance and digital risk.
  • • Experience supporting or leading the adoption of Archer’s NRGX platform or participating in significant Archer modernization/upgrade initiatives is highly desirable.
  • • Exposure to cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is beneficial, particularly in the context of cloud-hosted Archer environments or enterprise cloud transformation projects.
  • • Experience with Archer SaaS deployments, cloud migration planning, or hybrid architecture strategies will be valuable.
  • • A background in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or platform strategy roles within GRC or broader risk technology programs is a strong asset.
  • • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models and DevOps practices for enterprise application platforms will support efficient project execution.
  • • While the position is remote, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required, underscoring the collaborative nature of this role.
  • • This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of risk management technology at a leading healthcare organization, making a tangible impact on how Humana manages risk and ensures compliance in an ever-evolving landscape.
