- • Zip is seeking a highly creative and operationally adept Lead Brand Events Marketer to spearhead the execution of pivotal brand and corporate events. This role is central to shaping Zip's brand identity and fostering deep customer relationships through unforgettable experiences. You will be instrumental in transforming events such as conferences, summits, brand stunts, and company kickoffs into powerful brand-defining moments that drive affinity, accelerate pipeline, and fuel growth. This is a unique opportunity to move beyond traditional field marketing and focus on building brand, deepening community, and cultivating culture.
- • The ideal candidate possesses a dual talent for creative vision and rigorous operational execution. You should be comfortable conceptualizing an event's creative narrative in the morning and managing complex production contracts in the afternoon. A keen eye for what constitutes a truly impactful and memorable brand event is essential, and this high standard must be upheld across all aspects of event planning and execution.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to own and lead Zip's flagship event program. This involves defining the vision, strategy, and end-to-end execution of the entire owned event portfolio. You will manage the complete event lifecycle, from initial concept development and creative direction to detailed production planning, effective agency and vendor management, meticulous budget oversight, seamless on-site execution, and comprehensive post-event analysis.
- • Key components of the flagship event program include:
- • Zip Forward: Leading the strategy and execution for our marquee annual conferences held in both London and New York. These events are designed to bring together customers, prospects, and the broader Zip community for a comprehensive brand and product experience.
- • Zip Summit Series: Orchestrating our global executive summit program, which takes the Zip Forward experience on the road across the US and Europe on a quarterly basis. These events are crafted to deliver intimate, high-impact experiences tailored for senior buyers and existing customers.
- • Company Kickoff & Zip Day: Collaborating closely with the People team to produce our most significant internal company events, ensuring they meet the same exceptional production quality and brand experience standards as our external events.
- • Beyond owned events, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and executing one-off brand stunts and experiential activations. This includes pop-up events, immersive activations, and in-market stunts designed to capture attention, generate significant earned media coverage, drive widespread social amplification, and establish genuine cultural relevance for the Zip brand.
- • A critical aspect of this role is building and owning Zip's holistic brand event calendar. You will design the tentpole moments that serve as anchors for our broader field marketing and third-party event strategies. The goal is to ensure a cohesive brand narrative with a clear, consistent throughline across all events throughout the year.
- • You will also own the end-to-end promotional strategy for each event. This encompasses developing and executing campaigns across a wide range of digital and physical channels, including email marketing, social media engagement, paid media initiatives, strategic sponsorships, direct physical invitations, and dedicated event websites.
- • This role demands strong cross-functional leadership and adept agency management. You will act as the central point of connection between various internal teams, including Brand, Product Marketing, Corporate Messaging, Design, Lifecycle Marketing, Field Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. Effectively managing high-caliber event production agencies and creative vendors will be crucial to achieving the highest standards of execution.
- • The ideal candidate will bring a distinctive creative point of view, understanding what elevates an event from a standard corporate gathering to a memorable brand moment. Exceptional content and narrative development skills are required to shape compelling event themes, speaker programs, and onstage storytelling that resonates deeply with audiences. Experience directing production designers, spatial designers, and creative vendors to bring ambitious concepts to life within budget is also essential. A genuine passion for culture, aesthetics, and community building, evidenced by a strong portfolio, is highly valued.
- • Operational excellence is paramount. This includes demonstrating strong project management discipline, managing tight timelines effectively, ensuring clear and consistent stakeholder communication, and conducting structured post-event analysis and debriefs. Developing robust event measurement frameworks to track key metrics such as brand sentiment, pipeline influence, ROI, and customer engagement is also a key responsibility. The ability to drive alignment and influence across teams without formal authority is a critical soft skill for this role.
