- • You will lead the design, development, and operationalization of scalable data pipelines and architectures, enabling timely access to trusted data for reports, advanced analytics, and real-time applications while collaborating closely with DevSecOps teams to ensure secure, continuous integration and deployment.

- • What the person will do day to day:
- • Lead the design and implementation of standardized data management procedures for data staging, ingestion, preparation, provisioning, and destruction using automation, scripting, and programmatic solutions to ensure consistency and reliability across data workflows.
- • Mentor and guide a team of data engineers in developing, testing, documenting, and operating large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures optimized for business intelligence and advanced analytics use cases.
- • Architect and maintain real-time data processing applications and streaming pipelines using modern tools and frameworks to support low-latency data availability for operational and analytical needs.
- • Ensure end-to-end data quality and integrity as data moves across Centene’s development, testing, staging, and production environments through validation, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.
- • Stay current with evolving data technologies, storage paradigms, and processing requirements, providing strategic insights and recommendations to improve data reliability, efficiency, and automation opportunities.
- • Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures using advanced programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, and SQL, leveraging cloud-based infrastructure and data processing platforms.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) or equivalent experience through demonstrated accomplishments.
- • 5–7 years of related experience in data engineering, including expertise in data ingestion, transformation, validation, pipeline optimization, and orchestration.
- • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, C#, or SQL, with hands-on experience in data manipulation, mining, and processing.
- • Experience working in production cloud infrastructure environments, including familiarity with cloud-based data services and deployment practices.
- • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL programming for data querying, transformation, and management.
- • Proven ability to diagnose system issues, conduct data validation, and perform quality assurance testing to ensure data integrity and reliability.
