- • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory, Fabric Data Factory, SSIS, and SSMS to enable enterprise-wide data integration and transformation.
- • Architect and own data solutions across multiple domains, including BI, analytics, data integration, and cloud architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and technical direction.
- • Build, test, deploy, and optimize robust database systems using SQL Server, including Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, and Functions, following best practices for performance and scalability.
- • Integrate data from diverse sources including flat files, Excel, Oracle, SQL Server, XML, XSL, JSON, and leverage SFTP and REST APIs for data ingestion and delivery.
- • Assemble complex, large-scale datasets that satisfy functional and non-functional business requirements for analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
- • Identify and automate manual processes to improve data delivery efficiency, optimize infrastructure for scalability, and reduce technical debt in data systems.
- • Implement and maintain source control practices using DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and change management procedures for production deployments.
- • Conduct root cause analysis for production data issues with minimal supervision and resolve critical system failures impacting data integrity and availability.
- • Document ETL processes, data flows, system integrations, and data lineage for audit, compliance, and knowledge transfer purposes; create user guides and technical reference materials.
- • Collaborate with Analytics, IT, and business teams to define data requirements, ensure accurate data flow, and deliver solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.
- • Lead and mentor junior data engineers and architects, promoting knowledge sharing, technical growth, and adherence to architectural patterns and standards.
- • Apply Agile methodologies using JIRA and Azure Boards to break down complex projects into user stories, manage sprints, and improve team delivery efficiency.
- • Support data governance initiatives including metadata management, data cataloging, and data quality improvement in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- • Continuously learn the business context of financial data including loan origination, servicing, payments, and collections to enhance the relevance and impact of data solutions.
- • Ensure all data systems and processes meet regulatory, compliance, and security requirements in a highly regulated financial services environment.
- • Maintain up-to-date technical and non-technical documentation to support operational stability and team onboarding.
- • Work closely with product owners and program leaders to influence roadmap decisions and platform strategy based on data architecture needs and business priorities.
- • Foster a team culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, where ideas are openly shared and technical excellence is celebrated.
- • Stay current with emerging data technologies and cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, and Snowflake, to ensure the organization leverages best-in-class solutions.
- • Prioritize customer focus by delivering data products that are accessible, accurate, and actionable for end-users across the organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in a Lead Data Engineer, Data Engineer, or Data Architect role
- • Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric platforms for data engineering and ETL orchestration
- • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field
- • Strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python for data transformation and pipeline development
- • Experience designing and maintaining data warehouses and lakehouses with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake)
- • Demonstrated experience with ETL tools including Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SSMS, and Fabric Data Factory
