- • Lead Data Engineer role focused on owning end-to-end data systems for a Berlin-based, remote-first technology company serving the automotive industry, where data reliability and engineering excellence directly impact product quality and customer trust.
- • Design, build, and maintain scalable, production-grade ETL pipelines; own and improve data quality frameworks, validation rules, and monitoring; ensure pipeline reliability through failure handling, inconsistency resolution, and late data management; deliver actionable insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders via dashboards, reporting, and alerting systems; investigate and resolve data issues with root-cause analysis for long-term stability; evaluate and improve data architecture and technology stack; contribute to team code quality, standards, and best practices; support DevOps processes as needed; align technical solutions with product goals and customer needs.

🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering with proven ownership of production-grade data systems
- • Strong experience building and maintaining reliable ETL pipelines in production environments
- • Advanced SQL proficiency and solid understanding of data modeling principles
- • Experience with modern ETL and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect)
- • Strong programming skills in Python or similar language
- • Solid understanding of data quality, validation, monitoring, and experience working with large, imperfect datasets
- • Ability to make architectural decisions, explain trade-offs clearly, and balance engineering quality with business needs
