- • Lead Data Scientist role at Lendable Ltd, a fast-growing UK fintech unicorn, to own the data science strategy for non-lending products and drive material impact on company direction from day one
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning the data science roadmap for new product expansion, building trust with cross-functional leaders, gathering requirements to define project success, driving strategic and tactical data science projects, communicating results to stakeholders, mentoring junior data scientists, and contributing to the broader analytics community
- • Lendable is a profitable fintech unicorn backed by Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs, with over 700 employees, known for rebuilding consumer finance products (loans, credit cards, car finance) into high-frequency, low-latency automated systems and now expanding into non-lending products like car insurance
- • The role offers opportunity to take ownership, work in small exceptional teams, build best-in-house technology using ML and AI, and grow into people management while reporting to the Head of Data Science and partnering with managing directors on product launches
🎯 Requirements
- • Successful track record of managing data science projects with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- • Confident and effective communication both internally and externally
- • Extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, including products, data, typical ML applications, and related regulations
- • Excellent technical skills in Python, SQL, and statistics
- • Hands-on experience across the model lifecycle from scoping and development to deployment and monitoring
