- • Leads the analysis of complex and unstructured data sets using advanced statistical methods to drive data-informed decision making across Memorial Hermann Health System.
- • Manages cross-functional teams, mentors junior data scientists, and provides technical leadership on data science initiatives impacting patient care, operations, and business performance.
- • Develops custom models and algorithms, performs predictive analytics, and translates complex findings into actionable insights for clinical and administrative stakeholders.
- • Ensures adherence to organizational policies, promotes professional growth, and contributes to Memorial Hermann’s mission of delivering safe, compassionate, and efficient care to patients and employees.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related STEM field required; Master’s Degree in Data Science preferred.
- • Seven (7) years of experience in data science required; professional experience in hospital setting, medical informatics, healthcare IT, finance/revenue cycle, or EHR data management preferred.
- • Proficiency in programming languages and statistical analysis tools; advanced understanding of SQL database management.
- • Deep understanding of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision trees, neural networks) and advanced statistical methods (regression, distributions, hypothesis testing, time series forecasting, A/B testing).
- • Strong ability to communicate data insights through storytelling to both technical and non-technical audiences; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- • Demonstrated project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet goals under minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
