- • Lead Developer Experience at Vibe, Inc. is a strategic, greenfield role focused on shaping how engineers work in an AI-first environment, directly impacting productivity, tooling, and culture across the engineering organization.
- • You will define and implement Vibe’s AI-assisted development strategy, own the developer tooling stack, elevate security practices, and measure engineering efficiency to drive measurable gains in velocity and adoption.
- • As part of Vibe’s Engineering team, you’ll collaborate closely with product and engineering leaders to ensure technical decisions align with business outcomes in a fast-moving, high-growth streaming TV advertising platform trusted by over 10,000 brands.
- • This role offers the opportunity to pioneer AI-native engineering practices, gain deep influence over the software development lifecycle, and grow as a technical leader in a category-defining company backed by top-tier investors.
- • Set the AI-first engineering standard by defining and rolling out Vibe’s AI-assisted development strategy across the engineering org, owning adoption of coding agents and AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, MCP), identifying friction points, running experiments to prove impact, and evangelizing emerging best practices in AI tooling.
- • Own the developer tooling stack by maintaining and evolving core tooling across GitHub, CI/CD, and local dev environments, reducing time-to-first-commit and time-to-ship, cutting underperforming tools, and establishing an AI-centric golden path for the software development lifecycle.
- • Raise the security bar by owning security tooling and best practices, embedding security into the development workflow without slowing engineers down, identifying risks early, and driving remediation before incidents occur.
- • Measure and improve engineering efficiency by defining meaningful developer experience metrics (velocity, tooling adoption, friction points), reporting insights to engineering leadership, and treating the engineering team as your customer through continuous feedback and iteration.
- • Work closely with the product team to understand how engineering decisions shape product outcomes, ensuring technical investments directly support Vibe’s mission to unlock TV as a performance marketing channel.
- • Contribute to a culture of Impact, Ambition, and Urgency by owning outcomes without direction, defaulting to action, and holding yourself to measurable results in a high-performance environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Hands-on experience as a platform or developer experience engineer in a fast-moving product company
- • Deep familiarity with AI coding tools — using them seriously in daily work, not just experimentation
- • Proficiency in at least one of Go, Rust, or TypeScript — sufficient to understand and improve the codebases you’ll support
- • Experience owning developer tooling end-to-end, including CI/CD, GitHub workflows, and local development environments
- • A proven track record of shipping improvements that engineers actually adopt and use
