- • The Enterprise Architecture Lead is a senior technical leader within Merkle’s Digital Product Engineering (DPE) practice, responsible for owning the enterprise architecture layer across a top-tier client engagement, ensuring platform integrity, delivery rigor, and architectural coherence as the client’s strategic roadmap progresses.
- • Day to day, the role involves governing end-to-end technical architecture, designing multi-platform solutions anchored in Adobe and Salesforce ecosystems, leading integration architecture across APIs and data layers, mentoring cross-disciplinary engineering teams, and serving as a senior technical authority to client C-suite stakeholders while collaborating with DPE’s Technology Lead on agentic AI initiatives.
- • The role sits within Merkle’s Digital Product Engineering (DPE) practice, part of the broader Digital Experience (DX) organization, which serves as a rapid innovation engine delivering bespoke product development, composable modernization, and AI-powered solutions for Fortune 100 clients, operating as a trusted engineering partner at enterprise scale.
- • The person in this role will learn to balance architectural governance with product engineering mindset, gain deep experience in orchestrating AI capabilities within enterprise platforms, and achieve measurable business impact by enabling scalable, innovation-ready delivery that protects client outcomes and drives revenue growth for Merkle.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (Adobe Certified Expert/Master, Salesforce certifications, TOGAF, AWS/GCP) strongly preferred
- • 15+ years of hands-on enterprise architecture and solution delivery experience, with significant time spent in large-scale SI or digital product engineering environments
- • Broad multi-platform fluency: working delivery experience with Salesforce (Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Service Cloud), middleware/integration platforms (MuleSoft, Informatica), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data platforms (Snowflake), with ability to compose them into a unified architecture
- • AI literacy and integration aptitude: demonstrated understanding of how agentic AI, LLM-powered services, and intelligent automation integrate into enterprise architectures, comfort collaborating with AI-focused leads
- • Proven track record of delivering large, complex, multi-year, global SI or product engineering engagements ($10M+ scope) from architecture through go-live, including governance of multi-team, multi-vendor delivery models
- • Ability to operate at the C-suite level with poise and credibility, translating technical architecture into business outcomes and building long-term trusted advisor relationships
