Full Job Description
đ Description
- ⢠As a Lead Finance Business Partner at Paddle, you will serve as a critical bridge between financial insight and commercial execution, partnering with senior leaders across Product, GTM, and Operations to translate complex transaction-based financial data into strategic recommendations that drive profitable growth and investment efficiency in a high-growth, VC-backed scale-up environment.
- ⢠You will build trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders by driving insights from core metrics like GMV, take rate, CAC, LTV, NRR, and churn into actionable business cases for pricing strategy, market/product expansion, and new launches, while supporting board-level reporting and strategic narratives alongside the Senior Director of FP&A and CFO.
- ⢠You will evolve Paddleâs planning models and forecasting capabilities to bridge financial targets with operational execution, building management reporting and dashboards that cut through complexity and deliver timely, decision-oriented finance insights to the ExCo.
- ⢠You will develop deep expertise in Paddleâs transaction-based revenue model, analyzing performance across customer segments, geographies, and products to identify unit economics optimization opportunities and improve capital efficiency across the business.
- ⢠You will contribute to building a high-performing, high-EQ FP&A culture by mentoring teammates, enhancing commercial fluency, refining the KPI framework, and representing FP&A in cross-functional projects to champion data-driven decision-making organization-wide.
- ⢠You will grow both personally and professionally by shaping the next evolution of FP&A capability at Paddle, embracing ambiguity in a scale-up environment where youâre âbuilding the plane while flying it,â and developing your leadership, influencing, and technical skills through mentorship and exposure to complex, strategic initiatives.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠Proven experience in FP&A, financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning, preferably within SaaS, payments, or transaction-based business models.
- ⢠Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, compelling narratives for non-finance audiences and build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
- ⢠Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset, demonstrated by the ability to connect financial data to business outcomes and influence resource allocation, pricing strategy, and investment decisions.
- ⢠Comfort navigating ambiguity and complexity in fast-paced, scale-up environments, including experience with evolving tooling (e.g., Pigment implementation) and data quality challenges.
- ⢠Detail-oriented with executive presence, capable of balancing precision with the ability to present confidently to C-level stakeholders and board audiences.
- ⢠Passion for mentoring and team development, with a track record of building capability, fostering collaboration, and contributing to a high-EQ, ownership-driven culture.
đď¸ Benefits
- ⢠Competitive salary package complemented by stock options, reflecting Paddleâs VC-backed growth stage and commitment to sharing long-term value with employees.
- ⢠Comprehensive private healthcare and well-being initiatives, supporting physical and mental health as part of a holistic employee value proposition.
- ⢠Generous retirement plans and an annual learning fund to support continuous personal and professional development through internal and external training.
- ⢠Unlimited holidays and enhanced parental leave, enabling flexibility and work-life harmony in a digital-first, trust-based culture.
- ⢠Hybrid working model: option to work remotely, from Paddleâs stylish global hubs, or a combination of both, supporting diverse working preferences and lifestyles.
- ⢠Commitment to inclusion and belonging, with active efforts to remove invisible barriers and ensure every employee feels safe to be their authentic self, regardless of background.
