- • Are you a visionary growth marketer with a passion for building and scaling product-led growth (PLG) engines? Kong Inc., a leader in API and AI connectivity technologies, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Lead Growth Marketer to join our innovative team in the United States. This is a unique opportunity to establish and drive the foundational elements of growth marketing, directly impacting acquisition, activation, and expansion across our self-serve product offerings. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of how users discover, adopt, and derive value from Kong's cutting-edge platform.
- • As the Lead Growth Marketer, you will operate as a player/coach, meaning you'll not only be executing impactful campaigns but also developing the essential playbooks, processes, and infrastructure required for a world-class PLG motion. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a deep-seated passion for experimentation, optimizing the entire user funnel, and transforming product usage into tangible revenue growth. If you have a proven history of scaling self-serve SaaS products and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments where you can take ownership of outcomes from start to finish, this role is for you.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to own the complete self-serve funnel, from initial awareness through to conversion and subsequent expansion. This ownership comes with a relentless focus on identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to measurably improve key metrics at every stage of the user journey. You will be the architect of experimentation frameworks, designing and executing tests across various channels, refining messaging, optimizing landing pages, enhancing onboarding flows, and improving in-product touchpoints to maximize user engagement and conversion.
- • A critical aspect of this role involves close collaboration with the Product team. You will partner to optimize user activation pathways, ensuring new users quickly find value, and work to identify and nurture Product-Qualified Leads (PQLs) that can be effectively handed off to the sales team. Furthermore, you will develop and manage sophisticated lifecycle marketing programs designed to drive trial conversions, encourage feature adoption, and facilitate upsell and cross-sell opportunities, thereby maximizing customer lifetime value.
- • Data analysis and insight generation are at the core of this position. You will be responsible for instrumenting and meticulously analyzing the self-serve funnel, translating raw data into actionable insights and clear, concise reporting for various stakeholders. This analytical rigor will inform strategic decisions and demonstrate the impact of growth marketing initiatives. You will also collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including Demand Generation, Content, and Web development, to ensure a cohesive strategy for driving qualified traffic to our self-serve entry points.
- • A significant part of your mandate will be to build the growth marketing playbook at Kong. This involves documenting successful strategies and experiments, scaling what works, and establishing repeatable, efficient processes that can be leveraged across the organization. You will also be expected to stay abreast of the latest Product-Led Growth best practices and emerging trends in the broader growth marketing community, bringing fresh, innovative ideas to Kong.
