- • Lead the charge in transforming Forbes Advisor into a data-driven powerhouse. As our Lead Insights Analyst you will own the analytics roadmap for a high-growth business vertical, translating raw data into strategic gold that directly influences profit, product direction, and customer experience.
- • Manage and mentor one Insights Analyst based in India, providing technical guidance, career coaching, and day-to-day prioritisation. You will be the bridge between cultures and time zones, ensuring seamless collaboration with UK-based peers and stakeholders.
- • Become the go-to data authority for your assigned General Manager and their cross-functional squad (product, marketing, engineering, editorial). You will translate ambiguous business questions into crisp analytical briefs, then deliver insights that move the P&L needle.
- • Investigate performance anomalies and growth opportunities across organic, paid, and partner traffic sources. Build deep-dive dashboards and self-service data products that surface hidden trends, forecast revenue, and flag bugs before they hit revenue targets.
- • Shift the organisation from reactive reporting to predictive and prescriptive analytics. Design reusable data models, ML-ready datasets, and experimentation frameworks that allow stakeholders to run “what-if” scenarios without waiting for analyst bandwidth.
- • Champion a culture of hypothesis-driven decision making. Run A/B and multivariate tests, build causal impact models, and present statistically rigorous findings to senior leadership in plain English (and the occasional compelling visual).
- • Own the end-to-end insight lifecycle: requirement gathering, data extraction (SQL, dbt, BigQuery), transformation, modelling (Python/R), visualisation (Looker/Tableau), and storytelling. Package insights into board-ready narratives that secure buy-in and budget.
- • Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure your vertical’s data pipelines are accurate, timely, and extensible. Influence schema design and advocate for data quality SLAs that protect downstream analytics.
- • Partner with BI Analysts to embed KPI definitions into company-wide semantic layers, eliminating metric drift and ensuring the GM’s dashboard matches finance’s numbers—every single time.
- • Field ad-hoc questions at pace without sacrificing rigour. Build “insight sprints” that deliver 80 % of value in 20 % of time, while maintaining a backlog of deeper strategic projects.
- • Communicate weekly to multi-level stakeholders—from junior marketers to C-suite—via Slack, Notion, and live workshops. Translate statistical significance into business significance, turning sceptics into data evangelists.
- • Balance high analytical standards with rapid delivery. Establish peer review rituals, code documentation, and reusable templates that let the team scale without reinventing the wheel.
- • Drive quarterly OKRs that tie analytical output to revenue uplift, cost savings, or customer NPS improvements. Report progress transparently, celebrating wins and dissecting misses.
- • Stay ahead of industry trends in media, fintech, and martech analytics. Experiment with new tools (GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude, dbt, Airflow) and share learnings through internal guilds and lightning talks.
- • Foster psychological safety within your team, encouraging experimentation and learning from failure. Promote diversity of thought and ensure every analyst’s voice is heard in roadmap planning.
