  • • As a Lead People Partner at HubSpot, you will be an integral part of our innovative and flexible People team, serving as a strategic advisor to employees and leaders across various functions.
  • • You will provide expert business partnership and proactive coaching to people leaders, with the primary goal of positively influencing employee motivation, fostering professional development, and enhancing talent retention.
  • • Your role will involve close collaboration with leaders throughout the entire talent lifecycle, ensuring a consistent and effective approach to performance reviews, performance management, talent calibrations, promotion processes, compensation reviews, and succession planning.
  • • You will offer crucial Employee Relations support, acting as a thought partner and providing guidance to leaders navigating the complexities of the performance management process and addressing policy violations.
  • • You will play a key role in supporting the talent and leadership development strategy, ensuring the effective delivery and adoption of enablement resources designed to empower our people.
  • • Collaborate closely with People Business Partners on the strategic planning and meticulous execution of organizational design initiatives and change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies by developing, implementing, or standardizing key HR processes and policies, driving continuous improvement across the organization.
  • • Effectively translate high-level People strategy outputs into tangible, scalable operational actions that can be readily implemented and managed.
  • • Act as the crucial conduit between the business and employees, establishing a robust feedback loop for people initiatives, programs, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
  • • Foster strong, positive collaborative relationships with peer groups, including Employment Legal, People Operations, the broader People team, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and Finance, to optimize cross-functional processes and outcomes.
  • • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with our Employment Legal team, ensuring a balanced approach that mitigates risk while calibrating recommendations for informed decision-making.
  • • Build trusted relationships with and provide sound, expert advice and guidance to business leaders, ensuring all recommendations and actions are in strict alignment with local employment practices and relevant employment laws.
  • • Leverage data analytics and trend identification in performance and employee relations to inform and influence strategy, particularly around manager training programs and underperformance processes, with the capability to deliver training sessions when required.
  • • Take ownership of or actively participate in special projects, programs, and continuous improvement initiatives, requiring significant stakeholder input and management to achieve successful outcomes.
  • • Ensure the delivery of timely, accurate, and comprehensive responses to employee and leader inquiries and requests for support that are channeled through the People Operations team.
  • • Embrace and champion an AI and Automation mindset, consistently seeking out and evaluating innovative tools and technologies to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency.
  • • Contribute to a culture of belonging by advocating for and promoting inclusivity in all interactions and initiatives, creating a safe and welcoming environment that embraces diversity.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 6+ years of experience in a fast-paced talent organization, ideally within a high-growth global tech company.
  • • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, with the ability to apply this expertise as a trusted HR advisor.
  • • Proven experience in business partnership, supporting cross-functional global teams is preferred.
  • • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, drive projects, and manage change effectively in a dynamic work environment.
  • • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, collaborate effectively, and influence diverse work styles and personalities.
