- • Lead Product Manager for Developer Experience at Klaviyo, responsible for shaping the internal development environment to enhance engineering velocity, reliability, and joy by treating engineers as primary customers.
- • Define and execute product strategy for Klaviyo’s developer platform, aligning with the 'Need for Speed' initiative to improve cycle times, reduce toil, and increase AI-driven automation across the software development lifecycle.
- • Partner with Engineering, SRE, QE, and product leaders to identify pain points in coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance, prioritizing investments that boost productivity and developer satisfaction.
- • Drive adoption of AI-first practices, including autonomous code agents and AI copilots for code review and testing, ensuring safety and reliability are maintained while accelerating delivery.
- • Establish and track key metrics such as PR throughput, cycle time, change failure rate, developer experience index, and AI tool adoption to measure impact and guide decisions.
- • Champion quality and safety by collaborating with SRE and QE teams to embed reliability into developer workflows, ensuring velocity gains do not compromise system stability.
- • Guide long-term architecture and tooling decisions to ensure scalability and sustainability of the developer experience as Klaviyo grows.
- • Foster transparency and feedback loops with engineers, engineering managers, and leadership to ensure alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement of tooling and practices.
- • Influence senior technical leaders without direct authority, using data, storytelling, and collaboration to drive organizational change and buy-in.
- • Thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid environment (3 days/week in SF office), balancing immediate wins with long-term strategic platform development.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience leading product strategy for developer platforms, infrastructure, or tooling, with a track record of improving engineering velocity and reliability.
- • Deep empathy for engineers and experience improving workflows across the software development lifecycle (coding, testing, deployment, maintenance).
- • Strong understanding of AI applications in software development, able to distinguish practical value from hype and drive responsible adoption.
- • Fluency in engineering productivity and quality metrics (e.g., PR throughput, cycle time, change failure rate, incident rates, DevEx indices).
- • Ability to influence senior engineering leaders (Infra, SRE, QE, product) without authority through collaboration and data-driven storytelling.
- • Bias for action, comfortable in fast-moving environments, balancing short-term execution with long-term vision.
