• • As the Lead Product Owner for Business Systems at Vanta, you will be the pivotal force driving the strategy, development, and optimization of our critical Salesforce and Go-to-Market (GTM) technology ecosystem. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between our core business functions—including Revenue Operations, Finance, Deal Desk, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Legal—and the sophisticated technological infrastructure that underpins our entire Go-to-Market motion.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to define, execute, and champion the product strategy for our business systems, ensuring that we are not only building and maintaining but also continuously enhancing the products and processes essential for Vanta's effective and scalable growth. The ultimate aim is to maximize business impact through meticulous requirements gathering, strategic prioritization of initiatives, efficient resource planning, and transparent, proactive communication with all stakeholders.
• • You will lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of 3-5 Product Managers and Business Systems Analysts. This leadership extends to fostering their career development, strategically hiring to scale the team's capabilities, and cultivating a culture that champions excellence, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Your guidance will be crucial in empowering the team to achieve ambitious goals.
• • A key aspect of your role will be to define, own, and clearly communicate the multi-quarter Business Systems roadmap, with a specific emphasis on the Salesforce and GTM ecosystem. This involves a continuous assessment of emerging opportunities, technical feasibility, and potential business impact to strategically prioritize and sequence the highest-value work across critical Salesforce modules like Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, as well as CPQ and other integrated GTM tools.
• • You will act as the primary product expert, collaborating closely with key stakeholders across RevOps, Finance, Deal Desk, and other departments to meticulously gather and translate complex business needs into clear, actionable product requirements and robust process designs. A proactive approach to identifying potential risks and areas for improvement will be essential, driving innovative solutions rather than merely addressing immediate requests.
• • As the Scrum Master, you will lead agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, to ensure a consistent and efficient delivery cadence for the team. This involves coordinating and strategically allocating team resources based on current capacity and roadmap priorities to guarantee the successful and timely execution of projects.
• • Maintaining absolute clarity on all ongoing initiatives will be paramount. You will be responsible for communicating the overarching strategy, the unique value proposition of each initiative, the progress being made, and the tangible business impact of the Business Systems team's work to executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners. Regular reporting on system performance, user utilization metrics, return on investment (ROI), and overall business impact will be a core function.
• • You will assume ownership of the entire product and process lifecycle within the Salesforce ecosystem. This includes ensuring long-term maintainability, scalability, and an optimal user experience for all end-users. Establishing and maintaining robust system governance frameworks, encompassing security roles, permissions, compliance standards, and data quality protocols, will be critical for system integrity.
• • Driving effective change management initiatives will be crucial to ensure high user adoption, foster user satisfaction, and implement comprehensive training programs. You will partner closely with enablement teams to deliver thorough onboarding and ongoing support to all users.
• • Overseeing the integration of Salesforce with the broader GTM technology stack, including tools like Outreach, LeanData, Gong, Clari, HubSpot, and Catalyst, is vital. This ensures seamless data flow, efficient API management, and overall system reliability across the entire GTM technology landscape.
• • You will be responsible for establishing and rigorously tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics that measure system performance, overall business impact, and team effectiveness. Leveraging data analysis and comprehensive reporting will be essential to validate assumptions, support recommendations, and drive strategic decision-making and impactful business outcomes.
