- • Lead Software Engineer, Frontend/Web App role at Beacon AI, Inc. to drive technical leadership and strategic thinking for the frontend team in building high-impact web interfaces for a flight safety platform.
- • Design and implement React-based features, architect frontend systems for real-time and historical aviation data, mentor engineers, collaborate with backend, product, and UX/UI teams, ensure reliability through testing and documentation, and build reusable components and internal libraries.
- • Beacon AI is a fast-moving team of aviators, engineers, and operators building an AI platform to make flying safer, more efficient, and more capable, backed by top investors with Department of Defense contracts and airline partnerships, operating without silos or heavy processes.
- • Opportunity to own complex features from concept to delivery, set high technical standards, mentor engineers, optimize frontend performance, and contribute to mission-critical aviation safety systems while working in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience building and shipping high-performance, user-facing web applications
- • Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, state management, and modern web standards (HTML/CSS)
- • Strong experience with asynchronous frontend patterns and efficient handling of live and historical data streams
- • Proven ownership of complex features or product areas, driving work from concept through delivery with a high degree of autonomy
- • Ability to analyze and optimize frontend performance for scalability, responsiveness, and reliability
