- • Lead the design and implementation of secure, fault-tolerant, and highly available cloud infrastructure on public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- • Architect and evolve Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in a multi-service environment to reduce complexity and increase resilience.
- • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and changes using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi to enable faster execution, improved scale, and cost efficiency.
- • Monitor system health and proactively ensure reliability using observability tools including DataDog, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK, configuring alerts for anomalies and performance degradation.
- • Optimize system performance by identifying bottlenecks and deploying targeted improvements for highly-trafficked services operating at scale.
- • Define, promote, and maintain comprehensive documentation including runbooks, operating procedures, and system architecture diagrams to ensure operational consistency and knowledge sharing.
- • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers by providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence and high standards.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to design, build, test, and own the foundational infrastructure that empowers customer-facing AI-driven applications.
- • Drive the adoption of best practices in reliability, scalability, observability, and maintainability to deliver business-critical systems that directly impact customer success.
- • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or Cursor to accelerate output, improve code quality, and streamline development workflows from day one.
- • Work in a high-ownership, high-velocity environment with end-to-end responsibility for systems—from ideation and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement based on real customer feedback.
- • Operate with the pace and autonomy of a startup while benefiting from the resources and long-term runway of Salesforce, contributing to the evolution of agentic software and AI-integrated platforms.
- • Ensure systems support complex, real-time interactions with enterprise customers by building scalable cloud infrastructure, robust tooling, and automated operational workflows.
- • Contribute to strategic decisions around engineering practices, architecture evolution, and technology stack selection to align with company-wide growth and innovation goals.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in professional software development with a strong emphasis on backend systems, cloud platforms, and infrastructure.
- • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, Typescript, or Ruby.
- • Deep experience architecting secure solutions on cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
- • Proven experience in automated provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- • Experience with automated deployments using container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or Docker.
- • Strong hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Base salary range of $172,500 - $260,100 annually (or $207,800 - $285,800 in San Francisco and New York City metro areas).
- • For Ontario-based roles: CAD 154,700 to CAD 204,700 annually.
- • For British Columbia-based roles: CAD 154,700 to CAD 212,800 annually.
