  • • As a Lead Software Engineer within the Global Ticketmaster Abuse and Fraud Prevention team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of protective services for Ticketmaster, the undisputed global leader in ticket management for large-scale sports and entertainment events. This pivotal role is responsible for driving engineering excellence, designing and implementing scalable, resilient systems, and leading architectural improvements to safeguard billions of dollars in annual revenue. You will collaborate closely with a diverse group of engineers, product owners, managers, and business representatives to deliver robust solutions that protect the integrity of the ticketing ecosystem.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will be multifaceted and impactful. You will actively participate in and lead development efforts across globally distributed software teams, ensuring that global applications are not only functional but also perfectly tailored to the nuances of various global markets. A key aspect of your role will involve organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking effectively, coordinating team efforts, and providing clear, concise progress reports to stakeholders and management on the achievement of goals. You will engage with a wide array of stakeholders, including UX/Design, Product, and PMO teams, to thoroughly understand complex problems and subsequently devise and implement short-to-mid-term strategies that drive product evolution and long-term success. A critical part of your contribution will be to objectively explore multiple technical approaches, critically analyze their merits, and recommend the most effective technical direction, providing clear logic and reasoning to support your decisions. You will play a significant role in service layer architecture design, contributing to the foundational structure of our systems. This will involve hands-on work such as spiking and prototyping new solutions, and writing exemplary, high-quality code that sets a standard for the team. You will take full ownership of the development and deployment lifecycle for your software, ensuring its successful release and ongoing performance. Furthermore, you will be a mentor and leader, actively encouraging and growing the skills of other developers within the team. Debugging and triaging production application issues, even those not directly assigned to you, will be a regular part of your duties, requiring a proactive and problem-solving mindset. Finally, you will champion automation across testing, deployments, performance monitoring, and recovery processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • • You will be joining a diverse and dynamic Global Ticketmaster Abuse and Fraud Prevention engineering team. This team is at the forefront of protecting Ticketmaster's vast revenue streams and ensuring a secure ticketing experience for millions of fans worldwide. As part of Live Nation Entertainment, the world's largest live entertainment company, you'll be contributing to a mission that connects people to the live events they love. The culture at Ticketmaster is driven by an intense passion for live events, fostering an inspiring and diverse environment with accessible leaders, attentive managers, and enthusiastic teams. We pride ourselves on a culture that values Reliability, Teamwork, Integrity, and Belonging, encouraging all employees to bring their authentic selves to work and thrive.
  • • In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly influence the technical direction and architectural decisions within a critical domain of Ticketmaster's operations. You will gain invaluable experience in designing and implementing large-scale, resilient systems that handle immense volumes of transactions and protect against sophisticated threats. By leading and mentoring other engineers, you will hone your leadership and communication skills, developing your ability to inspire and guide teams towards successful outcomes. You will deepen your expertise in modern software development practices, cloud technologies, and architectural patterns, while also developing a keen understanding of abuse and fraud prevention strategies in a high-stakes online environment. This role offers a unique chance to grow your career within a globally recognized leader in the live entertainment industry, with ample opportunities to expand your skills and take on new challenges.
  • • The Lead Software Engineer role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the security and integrity of Ticketmaster's global platform. By developing and implementing cutting-edge abuse and fraud prevention technologies, you will directly contribute to protecting the company's financial assets and ensuring a trustworthy experience for fans and partners alike. Your leadership will foster a culture of engineering excellence, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the team. This position offers the chance to work on complex, high-impact problems that are central to Ticketmaster's success, making it a highly rewarding and strategically important role within the organization. You will be at the forefront of safeguarding the global ticketing ecosystem, ensuring that fans can continue to access the live events they are passionate about without encountering fraudulent activities or abuse, thereby upholding Ticketmaster's reputation as a reliable and secure platform.
  • • The scope of your work will involve intricate problem-solving related to identifying and mitigating fraudulent activities, bot traffic, account takeovers, and other forms of abuse that can impact both revenue and user experience. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of software solutions, from conceptualization and design through to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. This includes architecting robust APIs, optimizing database interactions, and ensuring the scalability and performance of services that operate 24/7. Your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and business operations, will be paramount in translating business needs into technical solutions. You will also be expected to stay abreast of the latest industry trends and emerging threats in the realm of online security and fraud prevention, continuously adapting and evolving the protective measures employed by Ticketmaster. This role demands a blend of strong technical acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities to effectively navigate the challenges of protecting a global ticketing platform against sophisticated adversaries, ensuring the continued trust and satisfaction of millions of fans worldwide.
  • • As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the technical roadmap and strategic initiatives of the Abuse and Fraud Prevention team. Your insights and recommendations will directly influence the technologies and methodologies adopted to combat evolving threats. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and development, and contributing to a high-performing team culture. The role involves significant autonomy, allowing you to drive projects forward with minimal supervision, while also emphasizing collaboration and shared success. You will be empowered to make critical technical decisions, balancing immediate needs with long-term architectural vision, and ensuring that the solutions developed are not only effective but also maintainable and scalable. This role provides a platform to showcase your technical leadership, problem-solving skills, and ability to drive complex projects to successful completion within a supportive and collaborative team environment. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining Ticketmaster's position as a trusted and secure platform for live event ticketing worldwide, ensuring that the magic of live entertainment remains accessible to all.
